Hello
I'm in a battle for my life. My RN license is on the line. I have a lawyer working on my behave but the BON is vicious they come to seek and destroy! If the BON take my RN lic. can I fight to keep my Lpn that has been in good standing for over 10years and is not related to my RN? Or will they take that too! ? has anyone ever lose one but was able to retain the other?

I hate to say this, but most likely they will take the LPN as well. If there is an issue that serious where the Board feels they need to revoke an RN license, since an LPN is a nurse as well, they will revoke that too.

Possibly. The OP previously posted that her or his school was being investigated. If this is the reason for the investigation, I suspect the LPN license should be safe.
@Born2BAnurse, as you've retained counsel, this is a question best directed to them.
Best wishes.

But if the RN license was fraudulently obtained, isn't that germaine to moral character? Ethical standards?

I believe several states have suspended licenses obtained as a result of attending schools found to be deficient or fraudulent through Operation Nightingale. If the basis of the investigation is having attended one of these schools, I'm not sure this necessarily indicates wrongdoing on the part of the OP.
Gotcha

OP was not fraudulent. The school was.

If you are one of the NY licensed nurses affected see:
NY's Advisory Notices for The Office of the Professions for further information.
Operation Nightingale and Florida Nursing Education – Questions & Answers I am licnesed as an LPN in NY, but not currently registered to practice...
Quote ...You should surrender your New York license to practice as an RN by mailing that to the Department. If your New York LPN license is inactive, contact the Registration Unit at (518) 474-3817 ext. 410 or [email protected] to request a delayed registration application. When you complete and submit the application and registration fee, you can practice as an LPN in New York for three years. You may only engage in activities within the scope of an LPN and may not provide services restricted to an RN. You can also submit the Delayed Registration Application online and selecting that option.

Other states may reinstate prior LPN license if not from one of the 6 schools in question.
Thank you. I was wondering how that works. I just don't want to be added to anyone's OIG list
I'm not in NYC but I pray my state does this

I'm not saying this is the case for the OP but there were many students who clearly new thay were buying their degrees which would be a refection of character.

Under Operation Nightingale, 6 nursing schools were found to have sold nursing diplomas to undercover investigators back dating diplomas to dates prior to school closure--along with informants info. Many states BON regulations have "moral turpitude/moral character" statements. Buying degree (without attending nursing classes & attending clinicals) to obtain nursing license = FRAUD; therefore in violation of character reg in nursing practice act, reason to deny application or rescind active license.
A state may revoke prior LPN license for those involved in Nightingale scheme under same pretense: knowingly violating nursing practice act under morals clause- rarely used BON option seen in my lengthy career review of BON actions.
