Riverside Community College Nursing Program Spring 2016

Published

Hi everyone!

I thought I would begin a thread for everyone applying to the nursing program at Riverside City College for the spring 2016. Hope we can share about our process here. :)

Currently, I'm finishing up my Anatomy/Physiology 2 and Sociology 100 at CSUSB. So far, I've been doing well, I think haha! If I finish with an A in sociology I'll have a 4.0 for my general eds and a 3.0 for my science gpa. After the spring quarter, I'll be studying for the TEAS exam for a little over a month and take the exam in July. Any advice that's related to the TEAS exam?

Hope we can begin this thread. Best wishes to everyone here!:up::)

Do you know if we need to know the Krebs cycle in cellular respiration??

Honestly I didn't study it in detail I just studied what went in to photosynthesis and out and knew that cellular respiration is the opposite of that and I felt fine for the test with just that knowledge

oh okay.. my friend took her TEAS yesterday and said she ran out of time on math which is freaking me out now.... Im so bad w math:unsure: and had stuff on her science that were not covered on ATI!!!

Okay, so I just took TEAS this morning and I am not feeling well.. Feeling discouraged! The reading was difficult for me and I ran out of time on math. I am not great in math, so I seriously do not know how I did!! Science all I can say about that section is there were questions in the test that were NOT in the ATI book! Whoever says that everything is there must have received a different type of exam. I studied my butt off for this exam. which gets me more discouraged.. I wont get my scores back until later tonight!

I just took my TEAS and none of the science questions that i studied were on the test.

Did you take at RCC?

Took my teas this morning. Not sure how I feel about it. Reading was a little more difficult than the book but overall not bad. Math was just like the practice tests but I did run out of time and wasn't able to answer 3 questions :( I feel like the science was 50% of what you study in the book and 50% not. English was easy. We will see my score tonight....

I read so many places that if you study the ATI you are good!! I did that, plus the online exams and I can say that it was an extremely challenging exam!

I actually took it at Redlands earlier this week.

Science was very challenging. The other portions of the exam were exactly how they are in the ATI book.

Just got my teas score. 81!! so relieved!!! I guess it was easier than I thought

See ! And you were wigging out thinking you did horrible , CONGRATS! What's the mean for those who took it at RCC?
