Hi everyone!
I thought I would begin a thread for everyone applying to the nursing program at Riverside City College for the spring 2016. Hope we can share about our process here. :)
Currently, I'm finishing up my Anatomy/Physiology 2 and Sociology 100 at CSUSB. So far, I've been doing well, I think haha! If I finish with an A in sociology I'll have a 4.0 for my general eds and a 3.0 for my science gpa. After the spring quarter, I'll be studying for the TEAS exam for a little over a month and take the exam in July. Any advice that's related to the TEAS exam?
Hope we can begin this thread. Best wishes to everyone here! :)
Thank you so much for the information! Are you currently in the RN-BSN program at RCC? I'm taking the statistics course this Fall to apply for the RN-BSN program in the future. :]
I just took the Jump Start over the summer where you take 1 or 2 classes to get started on the BSN before you graduate. Because I took the class I have guaranteed admission into the program. I'm in my last semester and just finished the application process. So I will start the rest of my BSN right after I graduate in Janurary.
I recommend to all of you to go to the nursing workshop you gain valuable information from me, other students and staff on how to get in, what's it like once you are in, how much your life changes, how much studying you will be doing and so on.
Hi all! Just registered for the TEAS at LLU for 10/23 to give me ample study time. Now I know the test must be completed before RCC host their TEAS in November but does anyone know the turn around time for ATI to mail results directly to RCC? The secretary at LLU said 3 days but was unsure. Am I cutting it too close ?
I took my TEAS at LLU this morning and loved it there. The staff was very great and there wasn't any restrictions where you can't take breaks in between each section. One advice when you go over there to take your test, make sure you know where to park because you could spend an hour trying to find where to park there. í ½í¸œ

That is 100% true as the chemistry grade will be factored into your ADN GPA as it is a requirement for the Board of Nursing in California. So you have to have passed chemistry or you will not be allowed to take your boards. Like I said earlier the way hospitals are moving you will need to get your BSN. I say this because many local hospitals want their nurses to have it and they will not even hire you unless you have it or accepted into a program. Right now it is very competitive to get a job so if you don't have good grades I highly suggest you retake those classes to qualify to get into the RN-BSN CSUF distance program at RCC.
