results on hold. Wonderful.

Updated:   Published

Test shut off at 157. I had a bunch of SATA esp. in the beginning. No math.

Did the PVT and just my luck, "results on hold". This is great for my mental health.

It hasn't been 24 hours.

my test did encounter an error during the research/experimental questions and like shut off. So probably that is why.

chatted with someone on the ncsbn. he said it takes 4-6 weeks for results. and that my results weren't on hold. Then i tried to recheck, got a popup saying "you can only schedule one exam at a time" and wouldn't even let me begin the trick.

then i signed out, and i was able to do the trick and it still says on hold. I am probably breaking all the rules by checking this much.

Don't know what to think.

What are my vegas odds I passed? Just give it to me straight.

Doesn't mean anything other than you had a bunch of SATA questions and no math.

LOL I understand.

Yes. Any anomaly at the testing site, a palm scan that didn't take the first time, finishing quickly, standing up when you were told to remain seated, anything and everything can be a cause for a hold, a review of the video during your test to determine validity.

This would only be true (mostly) if you are in California. States that participate in Quick Results will allow PV to release the test results 48 hours after your exam for a small fee of eight bucks. States that don't participate, you can get your results from the BON's website when it's updated or wait for snail mail or email. Depends on the state.

That's a good thing because doing the PVT before 24 hours is a total and complete waste of time and possibly money. And doing it at all is probably about the same.

Actually, yes. Pearson Vue's rules for registration require you acknowledge that you will not be attempting a duplicate registration which is exactly what you are doing with the PVT. Not a good idea in general but people don't like to hear that.

See above.

Exactly the same as if you hadn't ever once heard of PVT. About 85% of first time testers pass. Good student, did well on tests? You probably passed. Marginal student, struggled with application of critical thinking on exams? Might not. Which is more likely?

Goodluck and stop torturing yourself ?

Well I'm still on hold as of 4pm. 24 hours later.

Good things: I've read many people being on hold and passing.

Bad things: quite a few have been on hold and failed. But I've seen/heard they took 265 and were on hold and failed.

I would say it's 60/40 pass/fail.

Jesus this is horrible

still on hold pop up as of today.

im still status pending/open on my RN application on breeze, which i dont know if its even the slightest glimmer of hope. ive read it is.

already telling people I failed. oh well.

Yayyyyy that is awesome ... congratulations ?

Are you still waiting? I took mine in California on the 23rd. I think there is some sort of problem because Pearson says they sent the results the same day and the BRN says they are still waiting for the results as of yesterday. So I am in some sort of weird limbo. I did do the PVT 4 different times, with the most recent on Monday. It shut off at 75 questions. I felt it was difficult with only 2 softball questions, about 23 SATAs, 3 put in the correct order, 1 ECG, and the rest were multiple choice. BRN basically told me to keep checking the website for the next 2+ weeks; very unhelpful considering that I interviewed this week and may have a pending job offer as they were asking me to send in my RN license as soon as the BRN releases it.
