I am pondering an offer from Methodist Hospital in Dallas and wondered if someone could help me. I have heard good and bad about the hospital and wanted to get some opinions. I have been offered a position at a substantial increase from what I am now earning in Florida. I want to leave Florida but do not want to make the wrong move.
I have also heard a lot of bad things about the neighborhood that the hospital is located in.
Can someone give me some insight.
Thank you:redbeathe
What is the "consumer reporting" data base? I have never heard of it in any other state. Thanks
GroupOne is used by every hospital in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area.
You are definitely right. I just had an interview with an agency and asked if they knew about Group One and they so did. In detail they explained what they were about. I will say that it appears that Methodist and I are parting on good terms so who knows. Got those fingers crossed. I am upfront with anyplace I interview so they will not be surprised just in case.:icon_roll
Actually after only 3 days I was told that I was not right for the position. Things more or less descended from there. I guess almost 26 years of nursing wasn't good enough.
You are a threat to them because you know what you are doing and can't be BSed-you know better.
I am sorry you had to go through what I did. I tried to warn you; but, it is understandable because it is very hard for anyone to comprehend how evil that place can be.
Do not anger any manager bacause any manager can put you on the Group One blacklist. Play dumb, cry, evoke sympathy, lie, suck up, ask for transfer...-whatever it takes to make the manager feel sorry for you and not turn you into Group One. Please trust me on this, I know what I am talking about since it worked for me. Managers initials wouldn't be C.U., by any chance?

So you made a mistake accepting the job,it happens, most jobs have a probationary period, it is a time an employer can ask a person to leave no questions but remember an employee has the same rights to walk away no questions asked.
Good luck finding another position.
