received cgfns ID but opted to take nclex

You are going to need the CGFNS ID# to get your Visa Screen Certificate, if you are going to be applying for a green card.

Nothing will be processed on your order if you have not paid for it, it essentially does not exist until they receive the funds for it.

We're on the same boat here! I also applied last february of this year for the CGFNS-CP. I decided to forgo the CP and just proceed with NCLEX. From the $295 I paid, only $120 was refunded.

You shouldn't ignore it. B etter give them a call. You'll still need their services for the VisaScreen.:w00t:

Thanx chopsy, is it really necessary to call, I mean the phone charge it is exorbitant I think. Suzanne said, if I am not mistaken, kindly correct me Suzanne, that it is considered nonexistent since I haven't paid for it yet but I really do need it in the future

just tell them that u want to cancel your order by writing a letter and send it through mail.. u still need their service on visa screen..

Hi, I applied at cgfns and recently I received my cg ID but now I wanted to take nclex. I haven't paid the fees, may I know if it's proper to just ignore it and wait for it to expire or do I have to cancel my order? May it affect my application to ncsbn though I haven't applied for eligibilty yet? Do I have to include it in my application for elig? Your knowledge and input will be highly appreciated.

hi! That same thing hapened to me. I first applied for Certification Program online and CGFNS assigned me a number. Later I changed my mind and decided to take NCLEX instead.

What I did:

>Wrote them about cancellation of my CP order through their website (contact us) included impt infos needed like name, CG #, order no & date..

and after 2-3 weeks, they cancelled my order.

I suggest you do that, so you wont have problems with them. you might need their services in the future

I am in the same boat, but I think I am going to use CGFNS as a back-up plan, so that if I flunk nclex, i can take cgfns cp exam and hopefully pass (since many people say that it is easier than nclex) and then at least get my visa screen. Never burn your bridges and always keep a back up plan....just my thought

check first the requirement of the state that you wish to apply... many of the states now only requires CES and not cgfns exam anymore.. this is to save your money...i think nclex is easier than cg..
