  1. Sorry was only able to post today. So busy with job hunting. I'm in NS, received results last week. I passed! Hope everyone here who hasn't received the long awaited results get the "pass" letter soon! :clpty:
  2. If you believe that you really deserve a 7 in writing, then you could probably file for an appeal. But it could go both ways. They could give you the 7 you want or in a worse case scenario, they could give you the same score or maybe even lower. Not to put you down, but you have to be prepared for anything. Alternatively, you could just take the exam again. I'm sure you'll get an even higher score.
  3. Considering that it will take time before you could be licensed as an RN, it is definitely a better move financially to work as an RPN than a PSW. You can buy the Canadian PN prep guide and do the online predictor test for review. Mosby's Canadian Comprehensive review of Nursing is also a good book. Good luck!
  4. Happy thanksgiving! Just a week more......
  5. You can apply for next year since the cap has already been reached. There is no need for an agency. Everything can be done yourself without having to spend your hard earned money. You can do all your research on the CIC website. Everything you need to know will be there: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.asp
  6. The British Council and IDP are different entities. I seriously doubt that British Council will assess any result given by the IDP. If you did your exam under IDP, then the same body should reevaluate your result.
  7. Hmmmm.... 1st post again?
  8. This still sounds like an advertisement. Someone from the agency who's at the office, and will never come here. It does not take 6 months for the immigrant processing. Any knowledgeable person would know that.
  9. OMG! :grn: There must be dozens fooled by this agency! :grn: How can people believe that the immigration process is as short as 7 months? It's so obvious that people from the agency are writing the posts. We were not born yesterday!!!! :dncgbby:
  10. Same here. I think I am repressing those stressful questions.
  11. Wow! Thank you for all your replies. Great insight! I thought being transparent was better.... I guess some things are better left unsaid...
  12. If I'm not mistaken, Saipan Ocean View is the only hotel which is within walking distance from the testing site. There is a cheaper hotel, I believe it is just $10 less--- Saipan Gold Beach. If you are planning to visit the testing site, just to relieve the anxiety before your scheduled test date, then you would be spending a little more if you stay at Saipan Gold Beach, considering that you still have to ride a taxi going there.
  13. There are so many nurses applying for work in hospitals here in the Philippines. Everyone wants to get the needed hospital experience to build on skills. The problem is, there are no vacancies.
  14. I spent around $1,000 for airfare and hotel booking, inclusive of free breakfast. I stayed at Saipan Ocean View which is just a very short walking distance from the testing site. If I were you, I would bring some coffee and snacks with me, (so you won't regret not doing so, once you've computed how much more you had to spend for a box of instant coffee or pringles). The hotel provides free hot or cold drinking water anyway.
