received cgfns ID but opted to take nclex

Hi, I applied at cgfns and recently I received my cg ID but now I wanted to take nclex. I haven't paid the fees, may I know if it's proper to just ignore it and wait for it to expire or do I have to cancel my order? May it affect my application to ncsbn though I haven't applied for eligibilty yet? Do I have to include it in my application for elig? Your knowledge and input will be highly appreciated.

thanks Kathy. I am in Texas and they require nclex for getting RN license, but, I am desparate for the visa so, I am willing to try all options. hmmm, nclex easier than CGfns ? that is really good news. Are you in philippines?

yup im still here in the philippines.. i just took my nclex recently and passed.. i think nclex is easier than cg.. coz it is more on application/analysis.. cgfns is more on objective type as what i read in some posts here.. it's a waste of money if you're going to take cgfns knowing that you dont need it... god bless on your exams...

I have the same problem...I didn't know CGFNS was going to accept my application already since I did not pay for it. I was surprised to see I now owe them for the CES. I wish to cancel my order or just upgrade it to Visa Screen.

So, what happened to you mtjmnov? Were you able to cancel your order and not charged anything? I am afraid I might be charged coz I saw that for future applications to be processed you need to pay your "bad accounts" first. How did your future "applications" with them go?

I have already contacted them through e-mail, should I do it through snail mail as well? Calling them didn't help much...

This thread is almost two years old.

You submitted an application to them, and you are responsible for paying for what ever the fee was that was assigned to what you were ordering from them. They normally do not accept without payment, but that is something that you are going to need to accept.

You need them to be able to get a VSC to work in the US and even have a chance at a visa for the US. What ever they decide to do is between you and CGFNS and will be decided by them on an individual basis, does not matter what they did for someone else.

CES is not the same as the VSC, and you do not upgrade to get it. You submitted an application and on good faith they accepted it. End of story and let this be a lesson to others reading this.

Most BONs will actually just return anything if no payment is sent with the application, or they get rid of it. If you do not pay for it, then the contract for them to do anything with it, fails to exist.

Please do not send in any application if payment is not expected to be sent immediately or with the application. This is not how we do things here in the US.

I was just actually filling up the application process online, and I thought it was not yet confirmed since I did not make any payment. I was really surprised to see that it proceeded with an acceptance and an account on my part.

I just hope that I will be able to use the CES for NCLEX endorsements and having done this will benefit me in the future. After all, it doesn't have an expiration like the VSC, right?

This is another reason why we always tell people to use the old fashion way of submitting information to CGFNS and not use the on-line system. You cannot make any changes to it.

The CES is actually a very good thing to have, it is needed for endorsement to most states as well as being needed for any further schooling that you may with to complete in the US.
