Since I am almost done with my prerequisites, I wanted to share something that I thought was fun and interesting. If you are signing up for a course, or done with a course, you can put your two cents here and rate your professor. You can see what other students have written about the professor before you take the class.
Of course we all know that some professors you just can't get away from. I thought this was an interesting site regardless.
I used a site similar to this often while seeking my first bachelor's degree.
Like someone said, the actual score/rating sucks, but what was invaluable to me were the comments -- it gave me a "heads up" on the person so I knew what to expect going in.
I sure wish more people would take the time to write in comments, though!
A fellow student in my med/surg class told me about this website and I went there and it actually is pretty neat. I would say 5 out of 6 professors were rated right on. Just thought I'd pass this on.
I noticed a lot of students in one of my classes that didn't do the homework or the reading assignments used this board to 'get revenge' on the professor for failing them. I wouldn't call it reliable.
Luckily most of my professors do a great job:) so there wasnt alot of negativity going on. On the other hand some of my pre-req teachers were horrible:stone and the comments were correct. But I always keep in mind everyone has their own opinion and bad days like the rest of us.
Cool site...I looked up a particularly nasty professor I had recently and apparently wasn't the only one who had a problem with the guy. Wish I would have seen that prior to taking his class!
I have started looking up some of the next classes I have to take just for a clue not to say my decision will be based alone on this but hey cant hurt either
I was looking at my college, HFCC, to see how students rated the nursing instructors and there was nothing on them!!!!! I want to know what I am looking forward to so anyone, everyone help out!
I don't think any nursing instructors from MCC are rated on that site either.
Very interesting huh?! I want to see what students experienced, I know half of it will be emotionally biased but the other half will be realistic. maybe there's a conspiracy.......
