Hello all!

I couldn't find a discussion for the Summer 2020 program so I thought I would start one! What did everyone apply for?

Does anyone know if Rady accepts many out-of-state applicants?

They said we should know in the next 2-3 weeks during mine (they are conducting interviews this week, then it will take 1-2 weeks to make decisions). However, it sounded more like we would know if we got the job rather than a second interview. I have no idea if I've had a reference check, have you?

When I interviewed for the last cohort I received a reference check through SkillSurvey but didn't get a second round interview or offer. Maybe they're going to do things different this time since it sounds like they'll have decisions by mid-May?

I think each unit asks different questions. Lots of background and think of past experience you've had with patients/clinical and you will do great :).

All of mine were the usual “tell me about a time when” type of questions and why Rady, why this unit! Just prep for those and you’ll be great!

I had my interview with surgical today, they said they are interviewing 25 people and only hiring 4 so if they have too much trouble cutting it down to 4 people then they might have a round of 2nd interviews, but they haven't really decided yet.

I did as well!! CONGRATS on getting a second interview! I was stating the same thing, I’m unsure how to prepare for this one.

Hi! I have a second interview with surgical as well! So they said it would be with the staff right? Does that mean it’ll be more like personality questions with a few behavioral for them to see if we’ll fit the team?
