Rady Children's Nurse Residency Summer 2020

Hello all!

I couldn't find a discussion for the Summer 2020 program so I thought I would start one! What did everyone apply for?

Does anyone know if Rady accepts many out-of-state applicants?

did anyone who had the peer interview with surgical happen to ask when we will hear back about a decision?

they told me that they didn't have a timeline of when we would hear back all she said was they will tell the manager of the recommendations and then we just have to wait

I'm not sure /: yesterday was the last day and all they said is we will find out “soon” so hopefully within the next two weeks!

received an invitation to interview for the ED this morning!

Those that interviewed with surgical did you all also get an email from the manager today regarding the possible hold for the July start date?

I did also. I emailed her back asking if they would be choosing candidates from this round of interviews for when the program does start up. She replied that they will not be making offers until she has confirmed that their will be a new grad program. ??

Has anyone received any updates about the new grad program from units other than surgical?

I haven't heard anything. I interviewed with Medical, and then got a reference check but I haven't heard anything since. I hope they let us know soon because I need to figure out my living situation.
