I couldn't find a discussion for the Summer 2020 program so I thought I would start one! What did everyone apply for?

Does anyone know if Rady accepts many out-of-state applicants?

Applied to all, I also haven’t heard back yet. I suppose it’s a neutral sign but to be honest I sense the ultimate rejection letter coming. Seems like interviews for surigcal, nicu, and icus have already gone out based on the responses for this thread.

I have heard they care a lot about where you did your practicum and I did mine at St. Jude so I was assuming if I got an interview at all it would be in oncology but I haven't seen anyone say they have heard back from oncology. I wonder if its better to just choose a unit instead of saying open to all? Seems like most people that got an interview chose a unit

I put open to all & I have an interview for surgical.. I had heard from alumni after I applied that they say it’s better to put a specific unit so I wasn’t expecting an interview, but who knows how they really choose!
