Or, $7,500 if you just want her virtually. Good to know that negligent homicide is such a lucrative endeavor.

Additionally, if I recall correctly from her TBON testimony, she had given Versed her previous shift. Regardless of whether or not she had seen a vial of Vecuronium before, she had seen a Versed/midazolam vial recently. They look nothing alike and we're not drawn up in the same manner, so one wonders why that didn't raise a flag in her mind.

On top of that, even if she'd never seen vec before (it's possible, we don't use vec at my facility, usually roc, sometimes succs), as an ICU nurse she has definitely seen versed countless times and knows it's not reconstituted. Even with all that said, when she pulled a vial that looked different and required a different method of administration, it was yet another opportunity for her to stop and recheck everything that was involved. "What's the dose, what's the concentration of this vial, how many cc am I giving". If I'm remembering correctly, vec is 10mg reconstituted with 10cc saline, none of those numbers stuck out to her as being a problem (because she didn't look).
I can't stress this enough, her inability to think critically, double check, and reassess her patient is ---NOT--- the fault of the facility.
I'm an ED nurse, in the critical care rooms we frequently give override drugs that haven't been entered into epic yet because the doc is in the room. We always double-triple check in these scenarios because we don't have epic throwing us big red warning signs that this med doesn't match the order.

I'm sensitive to that so likely why I responded that way...what I meant on YouTube is it maybe uploaded to court tv.....great channel. Radonda with 3 years experience. Do you feel that's a well rounded RN? I'm thinking ( not excusing) she never saw a vial of veccuronium....... I personally don't care if she makes $..none of my concern..if I wasn't working back when alot of nurses went to TN..was it. I would have gone. I do not believe her unit was ER........I also feel floating can be dangerous. ( apples & oranges) in this senario...it puts a nurse behind the 8 ball. Nurses are used & abused.

You will be used and abused if you let them do that to you. But that really has nothing to do with the topic. Our profession is really hard.

Wow. So somewhere in this thread a nurse knew her said she was space cadet. I would see that as a management issue but yes I mean I have to agree. I started in ER then to ICU...I also however had excellent receptors etc. Can you imagine showing a new nurse here push wrong med..IV....don't scan...walk away! So yes I now see it more clearly! The whole thing is nuts.. .. my ER job was so stressful I left after 2 years. ...but they sure made a nurse outta me. I don't know how older nurses could run around that unit all day!; so in lieu of all these facts.....mighty poor I may add..... we all know there's not a nurse around who hasn't made a med error but yes.....unacceptable despite all the other obstacles nurses have to deal with!
I was under impression she was a tele. Floater or whatever..still the whole float thing...dangerous in my opinion....whole separate issues..I feel nurses are grossly underpaid ......... oh I saw an article she tried to get her license reinstated...... wow......I'd never return......

That's disgusting. Makes you wonder what goes on in some people's heads to make them think they are "victims" who deserve money and attention for being "mistreated" by the criminal justice system.

This is why you need all the facts before condemning those of us who speak against Radonda as lacking compassion or wanting to "crucifying" her. I'm glad you are doing more research into what happened and her actions after the fact.
Agree.

I've never seen a vial of vercuronium.
And I could still tell apart from versed. Not sure if people are aware all medications come with this nifty invention called a label that tells us what the medication is, how much is in it and when it expires.
Sorry to be a smart sod. IT floors me that this could have all been prevented if she'd read the medication label
Yes you're correct. Agree 100 %. She is/ was very sloppy. I really only had listened to her clips. I mean I know absolutely. Also to IV push what she imagined was versed with a trainee. To not teach. You stay monitor her reaction..the no band etc. I see it now...haha. I really do...I've been sick for years gaslit by Dr's etc . Cranky too. So apologies to all! I'm so happy this eve as I have finally unofficially uncovered my underlying condition! I have hope I can get out of this abyss. This case for sure one of those things that makes you shake your head . Slams drug walks away...no...SCAN, doesn't verify drug. stay monitor. She's a poorly trained nurse or just plain nuts. Go ahead jab me whatever makes y'all feel better. LOL.....I just know how witchy nurses can be to others....... very strange case. We all know how rough nursing is. Bottom line we are there for the patient ...we protect the patient. Hallelujah!! Can't believe how happy I am to have a disease! I have hope now.....who would want to hear her? I am curious. I read she even tried to get reinstated. She comes across as sweet. That was just plain insanity & neglect. Wow. I also recently saw a story where women was doing invetro. Pharmacy gave her abortion drug instead of estrogen support or whatever. So it does happen..I was poisoned with overdose of wrong medication for 5 days as I was so deathly ill. I finally pulled my glasses checked label as wasn't getting better. It was supposed to be prednisone it wasnt. So yes stuff does happen but Radonda not sure what in the World she was thinking....I was lucky it was Wellbutrin....not a med. Which could have killed me...I was that ill..I swallowed what they gave me said I get relief...now I check if I've not been on before...what a ride..

Not going to happen Diana. Like I said, we really aren't mean people. I wish you well with whatever you are dealing with right now.
GM. Thank you very much. Have great day.

Thank you for your understandable grace. I agree.
