85 and it cut off. What the.....? There was stuff I had never seen and had to end up narrowing it down and guessing. Several SATA, prioritizing and delegating. Meds were some that I had never heard of and they didn't give me the class or what they were being given for. I had to look at suffixes to try to figure out what kind of drug it was. I am freaking out!!!!!! I was an honor graduate and did very well on my Hesii tests. I have no idea if I passed or failed. I feel sick! I went into the test confident and sure of myself. I left defeated and confused. Some of my classmates have taken it and one I know also got 85 questions, but I don't know if they passed or failed yet. Some say 85 is a good number...I just don't know. I did take that course that would give you your money back if you failed...let's hope I don't have to call them. Good luck to you all. I don't have any advice right now for those who haven't taken it. Let me marinate on this a while and I'll get back to ya .

is this the NCLEX-PN? I got the minimum number of ?'s for the PN (85) and passed. I went in confident. Graduated with high honors, did very very well on the exit exams, could pull up info quick from my head..but coming out of the NCLEX I had ZERO confidance that I passed. Far and few between who take the NCLEX feel as though they passed after they take it.
85 I think is a good number, you either did very well or very badly. Usually its the for the better.
Don't forget you have a much greater chance of passing the NCLEX than failing it. 85% chance of passing it..not too shabby for odds.
Best of luck to you

Either way, you did very well or very poorly. Relax until you get your official results.

I just took my lpn neclex, which stopped at 85, and I passed. I was very confident going in, but while doing it I had no idea, guessed on some questions, some of them were very very difficult, not just the material but the way they worded questions, they give you the absolute minimal information! Any way i thought for sure I had failed, I figured there was no way i passed, but i did! In fact five of the people in my class' tests also stopped at 85 and they passed as well!
I agree, it means you have either done very well (hopefully!) or very poorly....however, I havent head of anyone stopping at 85 and failing!

I am totally convinced that the NCLEX people want us to feel that way when we come out of the exam!! They are very successful in accomplishing this. I had 85 questions as well and passed. Still trying to figure out how I passed with some of the questions I had of things I never heard of!

I passed the NCLEX PN with 85 questions just over 3 years ago and was sure walking out that I had passed it.
I had studied for about six weeks and just felt prepared and confident on the material. Even though I had about 20 select all that apply, I took my time and got through it, and walked out in less than two hours, sure I had done well.
Maybe I was the exception!
