265 questions is almost guaranteed if your a male.

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

The amount of males who get all 265 questions is alarming and needs to be looked into. I have a friend who failed twice at 265. I passed at 265. Another friend got all 265 today. 3 other male classmates got all 265. I work with 6 male coworkers. 5 of them got 265. The amount of men in nursing is already a fraction, but the percentile that goes all 265 has to be alarming. In 20 years I am gonna see a commercial saying "If you're a male and took the NCLEX and received all 265 questions you may be entitled to financial compensation."

I’m a male and passed with 265 glad there are others out there... come on there’s 2 right answers to every question

I took the NCLEX yesterday along with a few classmates (I'm a chick....*points to user name*) but one of my male classmates got all 265. Lmao I just had to come back and comment.

But on the other hand, another male classmate took it last week got shut off at 75, and another at 120. So who knows....

Just chiming in that I'm definitely a male and I definitely passed in 75 questions yesterday.

I've absolutely no idea how my sex could factor into the equation.

I didn't post the article. The pay gap is there. All of the arguments that men work more nights, more overtime, etc. don't hold water if the pay gap is in base pay per hour.

Except overtime would artificially raise their "hourly pay" if it was calculated using pay/hours since overtime pays more. Also if more men are weekenders, they would make more money right out of the gate - significantly more some places. So again, when you average all that together, yes, they will come out with the appearance of a higher hourly wage. What a load of nonsense.

Sometimes it is just gender pay discrimination. For example when my SO and I first moved to Florida. Florida Hospital South (in DT Orlando) offered me as much money with only one year PCU experience as they did my SO with five years ICU experience. I thought perhaps that this was an aberration (and perhaps it was), but I've had at least four or five conversations with other RN's over the years (who worked in that system) who said it was common. I believe that pay discrimination is much less likely to occur at union facilities since pay is "fixed" by experience and unit.
