i am just so happy to have reaped rewards from being a participant, from gaining knowledge from rns more knowledgeable about a subject than me (and this does'nt mean from those who have doctorate degrees either!), from having the safety to vent here and not have to do it at work and lose my cool...that i find myself wanting to share this website with other nurses who i know would benefit from this site as i most assuredly have!
i found myself this morning telling all of the nursing students that this site is a resource i have found invaluable. almost like a religious zealot trying to point sinners to the "way." i would have gained a lot had i known about this site as a student. i know that for sure.
anyway, who, for whatever reason (perhaps i would really like to know the why) have you shared this terrific resource with?

I found this from a friend in nursing school and have looked up lots of things, topics, ideas and feedback on this site. I tell all my nursing student friends. They are open to new info, maybe more than RNs on the floor who already think there is nothing new for them to hear! Iam out of school but still check in once in a while to find out what the buzz is.
Also I find info on my 2 specialties all the time.

I dont share usually. If my co-workers arent interested enough in their profession to get out there and see whats on the internet and where to find good info and real world experiences its their loss. Inquisitive minds have already found it and keep it close too because i dont hear any of them talking about it either.
No really we're usually to busy at work to have conversations lengthy enough that this site would come up

Actually, I was thinking we could all have a group get togethor but I guess that's is out of the question, some of us would end up dead from laughter. We'd all be wearing our name tags with yellow t-shirts and the logo in classic black....dreams, only dreams, people!

interesting play on words. :)
I have met other nurses from allnurses . . . .
I just want the freedom to post w/o worrying that someone I work with is reading "over my shoulder" so to speak.

I tried to talk about something important I had picked up from the site that applied to my job to my manager one time and his eyes just glazed over. Don't bring it up anymore, because the times that I've said anything to colleagues, they show no interest.

I tell my co-workers...especially when I get compliments on the great tricks I've learned here. "Yep, learned it on All Nurses."
