I am thinking about doing a career change and going to nursing school in my mid 40s. Do you think this is too late? I also have some health issues. What do you experts think? Can I make it?

I was 48 when I became an LVN. Go for it.

Nope, definitely not too old. In fact, this is the time in which many people make career changes. Lots of people in your boat, and let me tell you, it's a pretty big boat.

People in their 50's are going into nursing for the first time. Go for it.

No you're not too old. Yes you can make it. Good luck.

I'm starting nursing school next month at 41. My only question is...do any of you regret your career choice? Some of the posts on this board scare me to death!

Look at all you ladies go! You are all an inspiration to the OP! Great way to encourage one who questions her abilities! You all make me proud (47, been a nurse for 25 yrs!)

charity never let your age slow you down in what you do.

if like what you do and your heart is in the right place you will do fine.

Nursing opens up a whole new world. So many opportunities. Sure, it is scary at times but know that your not alone. Good luck!!!
