Anyone know of/ever seen any purple scrubs that would be appropriate for a male nurse?

I don't think I have ever seen a man wear purple scrubs. I also can't think of any shade of purple I would describe as manly... but if you have to go there, the darker the better.

I used to work with a big, muscular, 6'4", 250lb, manly man who wore (get this...) pink Tinker belle scrub tops, lavender Winnie the Pooh, red Hello Kitty. ..etc! It was hilarious! Now that's a man who's comfortable with their owm masculinity!
Awesome guy--fun to work with 🙂

I don't care what color my male co-workers wear.
Having said that, I've never seen any of them wear purple.
Lavender might raise a few eyebrows, but the purple shade above might just slide past the gender patrol.

Out critical care adults wear dark purple. Several years ago we wore dusky rose pink...including the guys! We teased them all the time, they took it in stride. Now we wear all black...just call us the grim reaper!

Smart Scrubs | Nursing Scrubs, Medical Scrubs, Uniforms and Accessories is my absolutely favorite brand. Their purples are not so girly.
PS: Our 75-bed NICU's color is 'wisteria' and for some strange reason, they have no male nurses.......
Me? I'm thinking of going into therapy over the royal blue decision in my hospital- having been scarred in my 20's and 30's by a series of forgettable bridesmaid dresses.

You give me hope...I want to one day wear black. Director here nixed it, though. :/

You should go for lavender and rock the heck out of that colour. Seriously though, I've seen some nice dark purples (like the purple equivalent to navy blue) and some grape/wine toned ones that look just fine on men.

I've worn some bridesmaids dresses that were real beauts! There was one that made me feel like a human marshmallow! Our YWCA collects old prom dresses and bridesmaid dresses ranging from gorgeous to absolutely Gawd awful in January, and by prom time YW volunteers have remade them over into dresses the kids love. Anyone who can't afford to buy a dress may pick one at no cost whatever. Nothing to prove, no questions asked. Could you help start a similar program in your community?
Oh... royal blue is more properly known as "gymsuit blue." When I came home with my brand new gymsuit in that obnoxious shade, expecting a TON of sympathy from my mom, she looked up from what she was doing and remarked, "You're lucky. At least your boomers have shorts over them!"
