Hi all,

Starting this thread before the Jan '22 cohort application opens up today (hopefully soon!) I have all the required documents ready to submit, patiently refreshing and hoping the link to apply pops up soon. Let's all connect and keep each other updated on our application process. Good luck to everyone! :)

Yeah I did mine last week.

Hi! I just wanted to know if we will be completing our drug screen that day or is that done at an outside facility. Did you take your ID Badge photo that day? Also, if you don’t have up to date titers or TB test do they provide you it the day of?

Hello, if I’m remembering correctly we signed a “drug free attestation” as part of the preboarding modules we were assigned on the hiring portal. It stated the signing of the attestation was being done in place of drug testing. Do you remember this at all? My memory is crap sometimes so maybe I’m wrong. Double check the portal if you can.
I haven’t had my appointment yet, it’s on Wednesday. I can report back if I end up taking the badge photo that day. My feeling is no, but I shall see and let you all know.
Per the verbiage on the “Cargiver Heath Packet” forms that I filled out in prep for my health screen on Wednesday, the provider will do TB test and draw blood to check for titers during your appointment if you don’t have your records. I hope this helps.

Thank you! I do remember the attestation form but I was confused because the timeline said we would be doing a drug screen at an outside vendor but I never received information for it. Please keep us updated after your health screen! ?

I completely understand. I noticed that as well. I think the timeline was outdated because it had conflicting information about the I-9 process as well. I just shrugged and ignored it all. My mind can only take so much back and forth. LOL ?

My employee health appointment was just confirming vaccinations and they you fill out a quick health info sheet (any allergies, any medical conditions that could prevent you from doing your job, etc.). If you're missing any vaccinations or TB test or Titers they will send you to their lab to get blood drawn and I got my flu shot right in the office as well. No drug test, although my current hospital never drug tested either surprisingly. I'm guessing it's a combo of not wanting to spend the money and not wanting to lose staff. Badge photo was not taken that day either, just immunizations, TB test, basic health info and N95 fit testing.

Hello hello! I just created a fb page for those in Holy Cross! Im absolutely the worst at fb and social media so let me know if it doesnt work https://www.facebook.com/groups/3092026531053342/?ref=share

Thanks for the info, I'll be having my health screening on the 20th. I'm going to bring my vaccine records from when were in school. Hope they accept it. Will they do the physical examination portion during the screening or will that have to be done and filled out by our PCP?

Any updates on how your healthscreen was? Also, did you happen to get the first week of orientation info from ---------------------?

I did my health screening appointment yesterday and the lady just went over my immunization records like tb, flu shots, etc.. they also check for which titers you're missing so try to bring as much as you can. After, they sent me to lab to get my blood drawn to get my tb blood test and other titers.

I was also able to schedule my N95 and PAPR test the same day.

Yes, she went through all my documentation for vaccinations, TB tests, and titers. Then I had to redo the caregiver health packet forms and other forms on the iPad there in the office. I also did a color vision test. Since I had all my titers documented, I only had to have blood drawn for a TB blood test in the outpatient lab. No badge photo was taken, no drug test. She also gave me paperwork for n-95 fit testing location and dates.

No, I haven’t received the first week schedule. It’s coming from the TIPs program coordinators, not -------------------- though. The TIPs coordinator that emailed me said it would be sent individually in the next few weeks. They will tell you the same, I’m sure, once you get the email from ---------------------- telling you your preboarding is complete.

Hello! This is a question to those that have undergone the application process and have accepted a position in the TIPS program... I am an experienced nurse, and about to submit an application for the next cohort that starts in May, and had some questions!

For the program broken up into classroom learning and working with a preceptor.. How many weeks is each portion? For the classroom learning, are the hours standard 9-5pm 5 days a week or 12 hours similar to nurse shifts?

After being assigned and working with a preceptor, are we guaranteed a position with the hospital? And is there a contractual length of time that is required to work with the hospital?

How long was the wait from submitting application to scheduling an interview?

Thanks in advance! And congratulations to those that have made it into the program! ?
