Providence TIP Jan 2023 Program

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone! I saw on Providence's website that applications for their new grad SoCalTIP Jan 2023 program will open up on Oct 17th. I've been checking all day yesterday and today, and haven't found the link! Has anyone else had luck applying?

congrats @madsun21! not st. john’s, but I received an email to discuss an offer last Thursday for mission and am waiting for an official offer still.

Thank you, and congrats to you too! OK I’m in the same boat, hopefully we hear back soon ?

Hi everyone,

Congratulations on being accepted! I see some people are mentioning Mission, is this the hospital in Mission Viejo or Mission Hills?

I received a call from Mission Viejo's location about 10 days ago they were planning on hiring me and that I was going to be contacted about a formal offer in about a week. I haven't received that offer yet and am seeing people from Mission mention that they have received one, so I'm getting a little nervous.

Edit: Also, if everyone is talking about Mission Viejo, does anyone know if ICU was an available position? I don't believe I saw it on the list, but I was also trying to be fast on picking which unit I wanted, so I can see myself overlooking it!

@GratefulFutureNurse im personally talking about mission hospital in mission viejo! hmmm I don’t know why they would be taking that long, and that concerns me too since I’m also waiting. have you tried reaching back out to a recruiter?

@tmht I haven't yet reached back out! There was a post (linked below) on a new grad facebook group that I follow where someone else went through the same thing, so I was hoping Mission Viejo was just a bit slower to their send official letters compared to the other Providences around!

Edit: The message gave me hope, but I was getting worried because I haven't finished nursing school yet, so I was fearing that maybe they found out they cannot accept people who are planning on taking the NCLEX in January (before the program's start date) ?

@tmht I’m in same boat man. I’m waiting for Torrance ED as well. It’s a waiting game!

update: I just received the same offer discussion email but for st. jude pathways. I had already texted a recruiter that I will be pursuing mission hospital ED

I got the offer discussion email from St. Joseph Orange last week, I emailed their recruiter this week trying to coordinate a time to discuss the offer over the phone but she said they're still working on the offer letters. I'm not sure why it's taking so long ?

I am also still waiting on an official offer from St. Joe's after getting a verbal offer from my unit last Monday. Hoping they come in the next day or so, because I rejected another job offer last week after I got the call from St. Joes! ?

My portal still says "under consideration" too...I'm hoping they are just moving slow and it will all work out this week!

My friends were hired the previous cohort with Providence, different locations and the start pay was around $44, night shift has a differential depends on the unit.

@wmarp what location if I may ask?

@MannyO One at St Joseph (Burbank) and the other one at Holy Cross (Mission Hills).

Has anyone heard back from Holy Cross?
