  1. Thank you, and congrats to you too! OK I’m in the same boat, hopefully we hear back soon ?
  2. I received an offer from St John’s last Friday, but not the official offer letter! Has anyone received their official offer letters yet?
  3. I just got an email for additional requirements for St John’s but it doesn’t specify a unit! Has this happened to anyone else?
  4. Hello all! Just wanted to see if anyone has received an update since interviews? Good luck to everyone!
  5. Congratulations, that’s awesome! I’m hoping to hear back soon
  6. Congrats to those who received interviews so far! Has anyone heard from the perinatal units?
  7. Hi again! Just curious if anyone has received an interview invite yet?
  8. Hi all! I’ve been lurking on this forum, but wanted to say hi and good luck to everyone! My status just changed from submitted to in review so hopefully that means we’ll be hearing back soon!
  9. Hey Jack! My name is Maddy, and I’m a current student in this program. The first semester in my opinion was the most difficult in terms of workload and adjusting to the school/expectations, so keep that in mind if you initially feel overwhelmed. My advice would be to review day by day instead of cramming before quizzes/exams bc the material is dense and builds upon itself, so cramming isn’t a great way to study for nursing school. Definitely take advantage of your time in labs and schedule office hours with professors if you are confused on any subject areas. Also creating collaborative class-wide study guides (on Teams or Google Docs) and reviewing practice questions (you can find many on quizlet or make your own) can be super helpful. Just know that if you fall behind in a class our professors are very approachable and really want us all to succeed, so don’t hesitate to reach out to them! Hope this helps a bit, let me know if you have any other questions. -Maddy
  10. The cohort # identifies the entire class, so for my class we are all cohort 2, regardless of when we were accepted. The 2 means we are the second cohort to go through the newly formatted MSN-E program at WesternU. And since you are the year after ours, your whole cohort will be called cohort 3. Hope that helps!
  11. Yes you all would be cohort 3! Let me know if I can answer any other questions, and congratulations!
  12. Hello! I’m actually in cohort 2 at WesternU right now, and basically we ended up having 2 FB groups. One FB group I actually created not too long after being accepted (I was very excited and eager to meet others in my cohort LOL). Then closer to the beginning of fall semester, the cohort above us created the official cohort 2 FB page with some of their cohort included; so we could ask them questions, reach out for help, and they could post any announcements from clubs and the college of graduate nursing as we were getting started at WesternU. I hope this helps! -Maddy
  13. Of course! I believe I reached out to student health directly.
  14. Oh no, I’m sorry! Yeah I’m thinking they would just be OK with the blood titers then. They were very understanding when I told them about my situation!
  15. Hi, my name is Maddy and I am currently enrolled in the MSN-E program and had the same problem! What I did was reach out to the hospital I was born at via email and they were able to send me electronic copies. Also, if you can not obtain specific vaccine records I believe a blood titer to check your antibody levels would suffice for that requirement, but I would reach out to the school to double check!
