  1. @xotwod oh okay same I'm not sure what the holdup is either. I completed the background check and everything over a month ago! I'll let you know if anything changes
  2. @xotwod well I hope they're nicer to you and actually give you a helpful answer! ? if they do, please let me know since I'm still in the dark about it
  3. just chiming in here, I also never received any information regarding the health screening. someone passed on the contact information of the caregivers health team to me as well. I emailed and asked about more information about the health screen, and the person got mad that their contact info was shared LOL. I emailed my recruiters, my manager, and genevieve (person in charge of the TIP program at mission hospital), and I have yet to receive a response from anyone. I feel like there's definitely been a lack of communication during this whole preboarding process, hopefully it gets better once we're all fully employed
  4. @GratefulFutureNurse oh wow thank you so much again! I’ll ask my nurse manager to confirm ? thank you and good luck with everything!
  5. @GratefulFutureNurse thank you so much for the info! I have no idea about the weekend differential ?
  6. did anyone get any info on what we can wear? can we wear any scrubs or is there a uniform? (IDK if it’s different at diff locations, I’m working at mission hospital and never got info)
  7. I finally accepted the job offer today! here are answers to questions I asked the recruiter in case some of you have the same questions: I did not see in the offer letter any minimum time requirement to work at Mission Hospital. Is there a contract I must sign as a new grad RN resident? If so, how long is the requirement? No specific time requirement how long she will work at Mission but the Residency Program will be a year After finishing my first year as an RN resident in the ED, do I get automatically hired to the ED as a clinical nurse 2 or do I have to apply for a position? Would I get a salary increase after graduating the residency program? After your first year, you would become RN II and that comes with a salary increase. You do not have to apply for a position after orientation. What is the nurse to patient ratio for the Mission Hospital emergency department? 4 to 1 When is the deadline for me to respond to the offer? We usually suggest to accept the offer within 24-48 hours but if the candidate needs more time, she may let us know as well as the reason What hours during the shift would I be receiving night shift differential? Is it all hours worked after 7PM? Yes
  8. sorry if this was answered already, but does anyone know what hours we would get night shift differential? is it only hours worked after 11pm? just asking because at my current job I get an evening differential 7-11pm, then a night differential 11pm-7am.
  9. dang, I didn’t know that. I was always under assumption we get time and a half after 8. thanks for letting me know!
  10. I don’t understand how providence pays “straight pay” for 12 hours. per CA department of industrial regulations: “Eight hours of labor constitutes a day's work, and employment beyond eight hours in any workday or more than six days in any workweek requires the employee to be compensated for the overtime at not less than: One and one-half times the employee's regular rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of eight hours up to and including 12 hours in any workday, and for the first eight hours worked on the seventh consecutive day of work in a workweek; and…” wouldn’t it be unlawful for them not to pay overtime after the 8th hour of your shift? or if providence is an exception, why would that be?
  11. I got the call from the recruiter for my offer at mission hospital. can confirm it’s $36.24 base pay (I’m working night shift and he said it’s about a $5.25) differential and non-negotiable (I tried). honestly discouraged about this because we’re definitely being undervalued with that pay…. and he said that it’s straight pay for all 12 hours. can anyone explain this more - I thought california has labor laws where if you work over 8 hours you get time and a half?
  12. @MannyO no not yet, I assume that’s what this call was for so I’m annoyed I missed it! I had to leave a message for him to call me back tomorrow
  13. update: just missed the call from a recruiter for mission hospital ??‍♀️
  14. update: I just received the same offer discussion email but for st. jude pathways. I had already texted a recruiter that I will be pursuing mission hospital ED
  15. @GratefulFutureNurse im personally talking about mission hospital in mission viejo! hmmm I don’t know why they would be taking that long, and that concerns me too since I’m also waiting. have you tried reaching back out to a recruiter?
