Got my NCLEx results...
Im sorry that you failed! relax for a couple of days. and start another plan. I failed the first time with 75 questions.... and the second time it stopped at 75 so I thought I failed. For the second time around ... I bought the NCBSN program online -- did all the questions in each chapter. And about 3 weeks before my exam .. I bought the Mosby's CAT online and did questions. The last 3 - 4 days before my exam .. I used the Kaplan Question Trainer CD. Along with using the NCBSN program I was also using the Springhouse NCLEX 3000. Make sure you go over the rationale -- and jot down notes which you can refer back to them if something comes up. You can do this!!!

Took the NCLEX today
I only got 2 math questions and about 3 - 4 select all that apply. One of the math questions was a titrating question and the other was amount of fluid intake on a child. I stopped at 75 and passed as well.

it is a indescribable feeling when you witness a new life entering this world. I have always been fascinated in childbirth because I have alot of respect for what women have to go through. Ever since my capston in L&D I have not had any trouble with helping both the women and the partner through the process. Most family asks me why i chose this field that barely any men decide to pursue....i tell them the same thing everytime.. and they always give me respect for it. if you can .. please check out the website I did for my final senior project. I decided to create this topic because I have had experiences where the partner was not really invovled in the care of their laboring partner. http://www.geocities.com/fathersrole there is a survey at the end. please give me feedback if posible.

I PASSED! the NCLEX #2
I am not at home right now to tell you which ones needed more practice. But I remember I had 3 below the normal ... 1 above .. and the rest were near the normal range. What I did this time was I studied questions using NCLEX 3000 by Springfield, I bought the NCBSN practice for 8 weeks, and I also used Mosby's CAT the last 2 weeks of my studies. I failed the first time with 75 questions.... when I took my 75 questions the second time .. I thought I failed because I didn't feel it was able to determine my compentency level. Keep on doing questions .. read the rationales .. jot down information that is unfamilar with you. I am sure you can do this. Hang in there!

taking boards 10/03 mosbys cat results?
NCLEX 3000 by Springfield is a good program too. I did 75 questions twice a day. The rationales are good at explaining. But I also did the Mosby's CAT together as well so I get a good amount of questions from different programs.

test on monday 10/03 starting to freak a little
It is good to hear you are doing all you can to pass the NCLEX. I would suggest continue doing questions until tomorrow night. Or maybe Sunday afternoon. I stopped doing questions the day before my exam ... at around 3 - 4 pm then I vegged on the couch and watched TV for the rest of the evning. It seems as if you are doing good on your Mosby's CAT. Note that it stops at 75 questions everytime so it can show you the probability. Also ... if you want to see what subject the CAT program wants you to study more then they ask you to do another set of 75 making it a total of 150. So far your scores are good! on my first try i got a 82%. and then 50% for the second try. You are doing great! Keep on doing questions on the computer ..! You can do this!!! let us know what happens.

nclex rn exam today .. O MI GOSH!
I felt the same way!!! I just found out I passed today. I got 75 questions on my exam on Tuesday. I got 2 math questions - one that was very easy I thought and the other was a titrating questions. I think I remember the pneumonia question on my exam but it was part of an answer. I am sure you did fine. I felt that I failed because I didn't think 75 questions was able to determine my compentency. Relax now -- try to get your mind off of the exam .. if you dont .. you will lose sleep and start thinking crazy ... like I did!

I PASSED! the NCLEX #2
It is helpful but there are repeat questions after the second or third take on it. But you can download the PDF file and review the questions at a later time. The first time i ever took the Mosby's CAT i got a 82% of passing. followed by a 50% but after that it was at about 92%. My suggestion would be to take the tests without reviewing right after. But if you are unsure about a question just refer to it in the answer sheets if you see the repeat question again. Mosby is helpful in terms of doing more questions .. and reviewing rationales. I also did Kaplan Training cd on my last day of studying. I only did the first 2 kaplan tests. and I got 50%'s on both of them. You can do it! I know you can!

I thought I failed again because it stopped me at 75 questions! Thank you to everybody on this site for the support. Just took my NCLEX - #2
Similar? I dont know about similar . but it was RANDOM . it tried to sneak in a herbs question -- of course I missed it. It was about the a pt with SLE and when would the nurse intervene and I think the answer is when the client says Euchinecea calms her down. That was out of no where. Now come to think of it .. I got a few wrong! O GOSH! I am in California. Hopefully I'll find out in 3 days if not longer.

Just took my NCLEX - #2
okay ... I just came home ... the computer shut off at 75 questions again! Which means I probably did as bad as the first time. This is horrible. I was hoping for more questions! I started noticing the last few questions were lower level questions. I only had 2 math questions and about 4 - 5 select all that apply. OH MY GOSH im freaking out!

Nclex 9-27!
This is NCLEX #2 for me. I will be taking the exam on 9/27 Tuesday at 9am. Please put me in your thoughts. I will also be in a wedding this weekend, I am not sure if this is a good thing or not. But it can be a weekend where I can relax before the exam. I have reviewed questions from the NCBSN, MOSBY's CAT, and NCLEX 3000. Hopefully I will be able to pass this time around. I will continue to read this forum from now until maybe Monday morning because I want to not think about the exam anymore after that. :uhoh21: Reading this forum has been very helpful and encouraging for my studies. And I will sure keep everybody posted from now until I get my results.

Mosby's CAT
Thank you for the advice. So far I have taken 3 exams. And I have downloaded the question/answers for each exam. I will continue to do questions .... and will probably start reviewing next week. I am doing sets of 75 .. and sometimes 150 . hopefully the probability scores are somewhat accurate in passing this NCLEX. Anybody with more advice about the MOSBY's CAT? I just realized it is in 2 weeks! and the stress level has kicked in because this will be my 2nd time around.

Mosby's CAT
For all of you who have taken the Mosby's CAT. the 2nd and 3rd time doing the questions -- I find that some questions come up again. It was suggested to me that to not go over the answers because that will alter the percentage rate. I just wanted you guys opinions on what I should do. So far I have taken a set of 150 and a set of 75. the last set I had a 50% of passing. how horrible and discouraging. Since answers came up in a PDF format - I was able to download it .. and will review later on. When did you guys choose to review the rationales? or did you review it right after each set.

Mosby's CAT
Thanks for the suggestions. I bought the Mosby's CAT earlier tonight. I just finished 150 questions. When I finished 75 questions it gave me the probability score of 82% and it gave me the option to go onto 150 questions. When I finished the 150 questions my probablity score was still the same -- 82%!! Of course this freaked me out because my NCLEX is in about 2 weeks!!! actually two weeks from today. I am freaked out! anybody who has taken the Mosby's CAT .. can you tell me what your probability score was? I plan to do another set of 150 tomorrow. Hopefully my score will change. ken NCLEX #2 9/27 -- Am I Ready?

Hello everybody. My nclex date is scheduled to be on September 27th. I was wondering what you guys thought about the Mosby's CAT online? I see that they offer a box version as well. which one would you think would benefit the most? I know the online one lets you log on for a month. Do you suggest I use Mosby's to get some questions done? I have been using http://www.learningext.com and will be ending soon. I also have the Kaplan cd and the NCLEX 3000 cd. any suggestions in how I can get some more questions done. ken

Need help with HESI
I have taken the HESI 3 times. The 3rd time coming, I felt there was alot of pressure. Our school requires us to pass with 850 or above. The first 2 times of the HESI I scored a 699. The second time coming .. I felt that it was impossible to get a increase of 150 or higher. I studied the NCLEX book back and forth -- highlighted important terms, did the HESI CD, and also did HESI case studies which the school offered to us. Fortunately I passed on my 3rd attempt on the HESI with a 856. I believe it is just reading through the questions and knowing what they are asking for. Like people have said about the NCLEX ... you have already mastered the material in the 4 years of nursing school ... now just gotta do questions to familarize yourself with the questions/answers. GOOD LUCK! I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT! NCLEX RETAKE DOOMSDAY -- SEPTEMBER 27th! :angryfire

NCLEX Content Area Report Analysis! Failed NCLEX 6/05
Hello Everybody! Well I failed the NCLEX when I took it in June 2005. I will be taking NCLEX in September when my 91 days are up. I recieved the package from the BRN. And I was wondering the content areas that they included. If anybody could tell me how / what this means in terms of studying and what I need to focus on. I would really appreciate it! I took Kaplan for my first NCLEX. I got my money back because I wanted to try another course. But I burned the Kaplan question trainer cd so help me study. I will also be joining the 7 week http://www.learningext.com course that they offer. Hopefully this will guide me in my studies. This is the report they included in my letter: Content Areas - Safety and Infection Control - Basic Care and Comfort - Psycholosical Integrity --> Below the Passing Standard - Management of Care - Reduction of Risk Potential - Pysiological Adaptation - Pharmacological and Parenteral Therapies --> Near the Passing Standard - Health Promotion and Maintenance --> Above the Passing Standard I hope this doesn't mean I am going to be a horrible nurse! It just makes me sad looking at it. Can I get any guidance from you guys? -Ken Dooms Day - Sept 27!

I am going to ttalk to my nurse manager tomorrow since I didn't pass because I was at orientation this whole week. She mentioned that she has a tech position that she's interviewing for and has no problem possibly hiring me. I plan to take the exam September 26 ... thats the date.. as soon as I get my refund from Kaplan and figure out the nursing job siutation .. then I will start studying. I also found out my classmate who took the exam the day after I took it ... failed at 218 question.
