Tested today 5-31-07
MissKitty, I'm going through the same thing. I took the test on Tuesday and still there is no answer. Mississippi doesn't do the quick results. I'm going out of my mind. I too had only 75 questions. So if I failed, I bombed it. Do they know what they are doing to us? This isn't looking good.

How many got only 75 questions?
Still don't know. Misssissippi doesn't offer quick results. I've been checking MS board of nursing website and still no number popping up. Is this a bad sign?:uhoh21:

How to find out if you passed or not
I'm in Mississippi and I've been told by other nurses that you can go to the board of nursing website and do a nurse inguiry. Type in your last 4 of your SSN and last name and if a number pops up that is your liscense # and you passed. That's what I've been doing.

How many got only 75 questions?
I took the NCLEX yesterday morning and I was done in an hour and only got 75 questions. When it shut off, my heart sank and I felt sick. I had no dosage cal. questions(which I'm good at), lots of pharm.(which I suck at), and a ton of priority questions. I hate this waiting and it's only been one day.

Do you think I passed?
I just took my NCLEX yesterday morning and it shut off at 75 qestions. I felt sick to my stomach. I also live in MIssissippi and have been told that you can go to the Mississippi Board of Nursing website, then go to nurse inquiry and type in your last four digits of your SSN and last name and if a number (your liscense #)pops up then you passed. Also I've been told they put them in on Thursday at midnight. Oh course, all these are all rumors. But hey, give them a try. I'm doing it myself.

What should every NICU nurse have?
I will be starting my internship in the NICU next month and I wanted to ask all you seasoned nurses that work in the NICU what is some of the things you can't live without?
-
Had an interview with NICU...
Great news! I got the internship position in the NICU. I'm so excited. I knew the Lord would place me where He wanted me.

Had an interview with NICU...
I will be graduating in about 2 weeks and interviewed for the intern program. The internship is night shift and I have never worked at night and I don't know how I will react to the change. I know that I'm new and should not be so picky and take what I can get but I really don't want nights. How did some of you adjust to nights? How do you like it? Please give me some advice. Thanks.

I need a nursing Dx for C-section in PACU...
I can't use Risk for Infection because it is too soon. It has to be while in PACU. She had an epidural and was in NO pain. Lower transverse abdominal incision with scant bleeding on the peripad, however, she did lose 650ml of blood during surgery. What would you guys pick as your #1 Dx? My instructor is very anal about these caremaps and I want it to be good. Thanks for looking. Cindi

Will graduate in May 2007...
and I've heard different opinions from other nurses. Please tell me what you guys think. Like I said, I will graduate in May 2007 (if the Lord wills it) and have two children ages 7 and 9. I would like to be there for them and used to be interested in becoming a teacher. So I have been toying with the idea of becoming a school nurse. I've heard you should have at least 5 years of previous training (ER, peds, etc.) I've heard too that they just throw you in there and you better know your stuff because you are totally resonsible. I still have worries that I don't know what I'm doing (granted I have one more year left of school) but what if I still feel like this when I graduate? Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!

Should I get This Model ???
No I don't think you need that. I'll tell you what I did for A&P. we used a model just like that and I would bring my digital camera to class and take some pics of the model a few times after class was dismissed. I did the same for the cat disection. It helped me out a ton.

Anyone here as impatient as me?
I hate to admit this. But, I want to call the college everyday to see if the acceptance letters have gone out, even though, they said the end of May. This waiting is driving me crazy.
