I'm wondering the same thing - I think we'll have to call the hospitals for information.

You also get points for how many required pre reqs you have finished. You won't get enough points unless you have finished all your pre reqs except maybe one.

Montgomery has a wayyyyy better program. They get to go to good hospitals for clinicals - and it's a better teacher-student ratio. It's more challenging but they turn out good nurses.

Same kinda thing happened to someone I know - they got a highly competitive externship because they had a family member in "high places." It really sucks that it's usually "who" you know and not "what" you know.

I am currently in an Associate Degree Nursing program and they offer a LVN transition class in the summer. It includes tons and tons of clinical time. Would it be worth it to do the class strictly for experience before my 2nd year in the RN program?

We would be eligible to sit for the lvn test in the fall - but I'm thinking about doing it just for the clinical experience.
