Anyone applying to Lone Star College System?

Published

I applied to the ADN program a couple weeks ago. I have 11.66 Points. Anyone else?

Hi...I'm currently attending my first semester of the ADN program at Kingwood. I got in with a 11.448 so you should have no problem getting in. Which campus have you applied to? Kingwood's campus is awesome, I've heard not so great stories about the other campuses but good luck with whichever campus you attend.

Tomball is my first choice. I'm so excited to finally have enough points to get in. It's been a long process! Good luck in the program!:specs:

Hi! I plan on applying to all of the colleges in the Lone Star District. I haven't taken my Hesi yet- I'm cutting it kinda close. I am in A&P 11 right now at Montgomery (haven't taken pharmacology or medical microbiology yet) I would need to get a 100 on the Hesi to get have 11 pts on the scale. Needless to say it's a very long shot- but I'll have experience for the next time I apply if I don't get in. Good luck to you!

North Harris closed at 10.8 last year. So you may have a chance. The hesi is a piece of cake! Good luck.

Thanks- I think you just made my day:bow:. It's still a long shot but worth trying.. Best of luck to you too!

I'm worried. I took the HESI test this morning and calculated my total points. I have as of now 10.993 / 12 total points. Will this get me anywhere close to being an alternate?

Thanks,

You totally have a shot!! If you don't get in you should defienetly be an alternate. And at the last minute there is always people that were accepted that can't start because they don't have all their vaccinations, they get pregnant, etc. I think you'll get in!!!!! Good luck.

Paul- If you don't mind me asking- how did you do on the Hesi? Was it easier/harder than expected? I'm going tomorrow to take it. I have 7 pts before Hesi, so to even get near 11 I have to do almost perfect on Hesi... Good luck to you!

Howdy, I'm in my second semester @ Montgomery.

I got in with an 11.7, and I think our class cutoff (class size = 40) was 11.2.

I scored a 91.49 on the HESI reading section :-( It wasn't too bad, but I wish I did better though. This way I could actually feel safe with my score.

You did good on the HESI- I took mine yesterday.. and got a 87... I'm pretty bummed about it. I guess I'm not as good at reading comprehension as I thought :) I guess on the bright side I know I won't get in this fall, so there is no agony of not knowing. Good luck to you!
