Congrats on getting in:yeah:!!! Which lone star campus were you accepted to? Now I'm going to run to the mailbox when I get off of work tonight.
Tomball - I have so much to do before orientation! I have to get a tb test, background check, physical, and cpr certification. yikes! Good luck -I hope you get in! Where did you apply?
i applied to north harris as my first choice since i figured i had a better chance of getting into that one. they accept the most amount of applicants, and i only have 11.2744 points. i have done everything except my background check. i thought it would be at least another week before the letters went out. i hope north harris started mailing out their letters as well.

what are points?
i am applying to an adn program at san jacinto comm. college - central in a few weeks. i hope i get in. =\
do you think an act score of 25 is good enough? ive already taken most of the pre-reqs for the program. they have two options to apply. use our act score or the average gpa of 3 of the pre-req courses (comp 1, college algebra, and a science - A&P1, A&P2, or micro) my averages of those are B's. so im not sure what to use to apply. im leaning towards using my act score

Congratulations, and good luck in the future!
i checked my mail and there was no letter:(. hopefully i will get it one day next week.
to answer the question about points, lone star uses a points system to find out who will be accepted. you can get a total of 12 points for gpa, total general ed classes taken, and hesi reading score. you need at least a minimum of 11 points to be competitive. some of the campuses cut off at like 11.4 or 11.5.
i would say go with the act scores. i'm not sure of san jac's cut off scores, but a 25 seems competitive if your general ed grades are above a 3.0.
