Would love to hear from TB control nurses.

MagsRN2008, I know this post is old but are you still working as a TB control nurse? I had an interview today with the county TB clinic and was interested in knowing what you're day to day schedule is like? Any other TB nurses please chime in! Thanks:-)
  2. Thanks for responding AMCNurse! I hope you're able to find the position you want. I will continue to keep applying and interviewing until I get a lucky break. I had an interview today at a TB clinic and I have an interview in a few weeks for a School Nurse position. This experience has definitely taught me how to be patient. Good luck!
  3. Hello Commuter, Thanks for replying! I have applied to CareNow and every other urgent care clinic I could find. I've also applied to pretty much all of the hospital clinics. I've applied to a few doctor's offices and the county clinic. I haven't applied to Health South. I'll look on their website and see what I can find. Thank you:).
  4. Hello all, I have one year combined experience as an intermediate care and medical telemetry nurse. I'm certain that I no longer want to work at the bedside. I'm very interested in working with patients in a county health unit, public health, physician office, ambulatory clinic, or pretty much anything outpatient. I love patient teaching and would like to give patients the educational tools necessary to maintain good health. I have applied for several RN positions in clinics and physician offices, but it seems like everyone wants a RN who already has clinic/office experience. Does anyone have a lead on an available position? Thanks in advance:)!

New "09" Fall Lone Star North Harris Students

congrats to all of the new nursing students! it is true that many of the alternates were able to obtain a spot in the program, so please do not feel defeated. i have 2 weeks left of nursing ii at nh and then off to nursing iii in the fall. i cannot wait until may 2010. this nursing program is not for the faint hearted i'll tell you that. it is quite doable though. everyone i know found rnsg 1172 to be a breeze. it's nursing i that will bring the reality check. just remember that with nursing school your social life gets a back seat. you will eat, sleep, and breathe critical thinking!! good luck to all!
