Private Loans for nursing school

Published

Hello all!

So for those of you who have had to look for outside private loans in nursing school which ones did you guys choose to do? Bank loan? Salle Mae?

Right now, my school covers a good chunk of my fees praise the lord lol! But, I do need 1000 for the remaining balance & money for books. So, I'm looking into private loans although it is my last option.

What do you guys recommend?

Hope everyones week is going well!

One thousand dollars is such a small amount that I wouldn't put an excessive amount of thought into it. Your school should have resources.

I had a sallie mae loan that I recently consolidated and paid off. It was an ok experience. Not the best, not the worst.

I got through college primarily on Sallie Mae loans. 10 years after graduating, I finally have my balance under 30K.

I agree with Sour Lemon that $1000 is such a small amount, I'm not sure taking out a private loan would be worth it. There may be other options.

As others have said...1K is such a minute amount that I wouldn't have my credit check and dinged.

My private school loans are through Discover. I recommend them because at the end of your program you get a cash reward for good grades.
