Agreed. But the info posted on this website was inaccurate and that is why I shall not enter into further political discussion on this nursing site. I'm disappointed by admin posting left wing inaccurate info about what candidates stand for on health issues. I cannot abide this and have no time for this insanity. But I am here for other topics posting and will stay around for that.

Agreed with who? You need to specify who & what you’re responding to, otherwise it’s confusing.

Ex-FBI Lawyer To Plead Guilty In Case Linked To Alleged Abuse Of Surveillance Power August 14, 2020

Former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith has agreed to plead guilty to a single false statement charge, marking the first criminal action in an investigation centered on how intelligence agencies gathered information involving the Trump campaign and Russia four years ago in the waning months of the Obama administration. Clinesmith had been identified in an earlier report by the Justice Department inspector general.

He allegedly doctored an email used as part of a process to secure court approval to renew surveillance on a onetime Trump campaign junior adviser, Carter Page. The Justice Department's inspector general, Michael Horowitz, referred the matter for criminal review...

... The charge against Clinesmith represents the first significant public action by John Durham, U.S. attorney in Connecticut, who was named more than a year ago to examine problems with the FBI, the Justice Department and other agencies' approach to an investigation that came to define much of President Trump's first term in office...

... Subsequent investigations have validated the core findings of the Russia investigation, including that Russia attacked the election in 2016, but it also revealed problems with some actions by the FBI...

"In sum, the investigation established multiple links between Trump Campaign officials and individuals tied to the Russian government. Those links included Russia offers of assistance to the Campaign. In some instances, the Campaign was receptive to the offer, while in other instances the Campaign officials shied away."

The Mueller report said. “Ultimately, the investigation did not establish that the Campaign coordinated or conspired with the Russian government in its election-interference activities.”

Awesome. We are cool with less political discussion based in right wing rhetoric and propaganda. The discussions are much better when Trump supporters utilize facts and evidence rather than hurt feelings.

Since Allnurses is a career support and news site, everyone is welcome to post their advice and thoughts. When one disagrees with the original poster, it helps to provide informational links from reputable, national and local healthcare and news organizations to back up one's statements. That way, we can learn together and help form consensus to move healthcare and other issues forward. That's why I post so many darn links to support my opinions/concerns/nursing advice.

I don't think having a good bedside manner and "knowing your stuff" are mutually exclusive.

Are you saying that a physician that supports a patient emotionally cannot get the job done?

Nope, not what I meant at all. Just sayin that is how it was with that particular Doc. Point being that I would vote for someone I think would do a better job for the country even if I don't like his personality so much.

After more than 40 years in practice across a multitude of states, care environments and specialities, I don't buy into the thinking that character isn't a very important part of professional conduct. I believe that character is very important.

I think that it is easy to see that Trump's character flaws are having direct and negative consequences for this republic. Similarly, rude and dismissive health providers can lead to unnecessary negative consequences for unheard patient concerns or needs.

I said his personality! Personality and character are not the same thing. Even still I have seen many coworkers (over 40+ years) with less than stellar character that do a great job. But I guess if you feel that way you won't be voting for Biden/Harris in Nov.

Fair point.

Unfortunately, Trump has neither the personality not the character necessary to be a successful and revered American president. That is borne out in the evidence regularly. Any GOP politician could have given Conservatives names from a list of conservative judges...few would have been as corrupt or dishonest.

No. My feelings and patriotism call me to vote against Trump.

We need more humor in Washington DC.

Kamala Harris gave a hilarious response to Ellen DeGeneres questions on her show.
