Dude you are obviously an intelligent person. Can you please stop taking a stance and take the temperature of the nation. Seriously, you cannot feel the calm?
No tweets, no incitement and for crying out loud sake, people stormed the white house to usurp a democratically elected president so an illegal person could be installed!
Have you ever heard of guilty by association? When you associate yourself with those people, doesn't it mean that you condone their actions and by default, disagree with democracy? Where are your brains? Do you really think that Americans are so special that all the leaders of the world incl Trump have accepted the fact that Biden is the president and they are all wrong?
Give the bloody man a chance! He's in my opinion showing exactly the restraint and statesmanship that's required. Are you not elated to be in a position where you think that competence might prevail?

1. Poor people are more likely to have older cars and are less able to afford hybrid or electric vehicles.
*Which when they transition into different alternative energy jobs which is the future, they will be better off.
2. The working class generally do not have the luxury of working remotely and must drive to work. Some may need to drive their vehicles for work, such as skilled tradespeople.
*Do you think that like a spigot, oil will be abruptly shut off?
You make assertions about the Keystone pipeline when it is clear you do not understand the issue and have made no effort to do so. Both the US (under Obama) and Canada concluded this pipeline was a net positive to the environment. In addition, Canadian taxpayers funded the start of this pipeline to the tune of over $1 billion, believing in the good faith of the U.S.
* what a pity they didn't include in their conclusions, who they were doing business with?
Furthermore, over 10,000 high-paying union jobs in the US will be lost.
* I try to look ahead to the future re the new technology and train and prepare. Just in case. Sort of a Darwin thing? Survival of the prepared. It's a fundamental futuristic concept that is heavily used in nursing!

Canada is our closest ally and biggest trading partner. Why would Biden sign such an Executive Order without consulting with them first? Over and over during the past 4 years, we were told Trump is a disaster for our relationships with allies. Yet, Biden does this without even talking to the Canadians!
Both the US and Canada performed detailed analyses of the pipeline and even the Obama administration concluded the pipeline would DECREASE the carbon footprint. What happened to following the science and evidence?
Based on Pete B's questioning by Congress (sorry, I can't spell his name), during confirmation hearings for the Sec of Treasury nomination, he seemed to indicate an increase in the gas tax. Gee, how much more in taxes will we be paying under Biden? He already has eliminated the Trump tax cut. This will disproportionately affect the poor and working class, not exactly a progressive move.
There don't appear to be any analyses from the Obama administration or anyone else that show the pipeline would decrease the carbon footprint, they all appear to show no significant impact or even an increase in the carbon footprint.
Shale and tar sands oil is extremely inefficient to both extract and process. Although at the current oil price it's not even really viable to attempt to extract and process it, if it did increase output from Alberta then the increased greenhouse gas emissions that result would far exceed the additional carbon footprint of transporting by rail or truck. There also isn't evidence it would change the cost of gas at the pump for consumers, or have any significant impact on our reliance on imported oil from outside of North America.
And this isn't as widely popular in Canada as you suggest. Kenney, of Alberta, is considering suing over the cancellation of the XL pipeline, which is one Premier, not "many". Although whether the US permits the pipeline or not isn't it's biggest hurdle, the viability of increasing Tar Sands production is the bigger problem, which is despite being permitted since 2017 only about a mile has been built.

The Keystone XL pipeline would provide about 35 full time jobs once completed, not 10,000. The pipeline would result in a net loss of jobs once completed due to loss of rail of trucking jobs.

Beerman, I have to apologize to you. You are right!
AOC and her radicalism has taken over these Democrats! Chuck Schumer has grown a pair and he just tea bagged Mitch McConnell with them.
Turtle neck is steaming! ???????

The water resources and aquifers are priceless.
If the Canadians want their toxic tar sands to get to a coastline for further distribution they have other options. These are important steps in a necessary change of priority for our long term future.

It should be pointed out that the information (propaganda) FullGlass was referencing has only come from TC (formerly called TransCanada although still commonly called that in Canada), no other source has confirmed their 'data'.
Every advantage that TC claims will come from Keystone XL produces a offsetting problem; It will reduce oil prices (if it reduces oil prices then Alberta Tar Sands oil isn't viable), it reduces the carbon footprint of Tar Sands oil (if it succeeds in increasing Alberta oil exports then it actually increases the carbon footprint), etc.
It actually doesn't change much of anything except to reshuffle which companies are profiting off of Alberta oil, any jobs gained are nothing more than workers re-hired after losing jobs from TC competitors, and there's no reason to believe it will increase domestic oil production, it just shuffles which companies are producing. It does though increase the risk of contaminating the Ogallala aquifer, among others, which would be catastrophic for the US economy and our food supply.
In Canada there was fairly widespread criticism of Premier Kenney's decision to invest in the pipeline, this was not widely supported across Canada and even Alberta there wasn't clear support for it. This was separate from any environmental arguments, it was mainly that he and the Province of Alberta was getting taken advantage of by TC.
My Dad only wanted Exxon gas in our car during yearly 3wk Mardi Gras trips. Could see less of their gas stations on East Coast and down south. Sold my EXXON stock few years ago due to environmental concerns.
2018 Industry Week Exxon Will Use Wind, Solar to Produce Crude Oil in Texas
Quote
Exxon Mobil Corp. (IW 500/1) will use renewable energy to produce oil in West Texas.
Under 12-year agreements with Denmark’s Orsted A/S, Exxon will buy 500 megawatts of wind and solar power in the Permian Basin, the fastest growing U.S. oil field. It is the largest ever renewable power contract signed by an oil company, according to Bloomberg NEF. Terms weren’t disclosed.
“It will be interesting to see how the other oil majors respond,” Kyle Harrison, a BNEF analyst, said. “A purchase like this has historically been unprecedented.”
Exxon, which was sued by investors who alleged the company downplayed risks of global warming, is turning to clean energy as it becomes cheap enough to compete with fossil fuels. The wind and solar farms are being built in a region where electricity demand is soaring as oil production grows. ...
