President Biden thread

Published

Wow.  No one has started such a thread yet?

After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days,  apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.

Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week,  by the end of April.

(note: I will cross post this to the Trump Thread since he's the subject here)

I don't think the numbers support your claim about Biden, but here we are again with the pain talking point. I don't think Trump himself knows what he means by that, but I am certain his surrogates don't know either.

What exactly will be causing this pain that Trump say people understand and are willing to accept? Americans have historically been willing to sacrifice for the greater good, once the reason is explained, but Trump never did that.  It could be the tariffs, bur his stated reason for the tariffs changed on a daily basis.

I'm sure lots of people would have a problem feeling the pain that ensued after he accused the Mexican government of being in cahoots with a drug cartel. But the whole thing is now "paused", I guess because they never considered the possible consequences? It almost like he said told the American people their pain will be caused by Trump's p*ss poor planning?

It's difficult to confront this right wing delusion so often and make sense out of how so many people can be so misled. They are willing to suffer because of some poorly explained concept of a plan that has little detail and keeps changing as dementia Donnie's mood changes.  If that's not evidence of a cult then powder my butt and call me a biscuit cuz they'll believe anything.

Funny that people like you can't discern reality from delusion and voted for a fascist felon because congressional Republicans convinced you that Biden was a crime boss?  Yep. That's hysterical.

No. Biden and Harris convinced me to not vote for them considering the dumpster fire they turned the US into. Apparently other voters did as well. Not that we believed Biden was a "crime boss" LOL.

Biden a crime boss? Yeah okay. LOL. People like you will say 2 opposing ideas simultaneously.  Biden couldn't be a "crime boss" with his cognitive decline. Other than he has a good defence of not remembering if he did commit a crime. Kinda like why they didn't charge him with having classified documents.

Even if any of that were Trump, the people obviously decided all that was better than Harris and another democrat presidency. 😆 🤣

Doesn't say much for the democrats does it?

Says more about the people and country that would give him the nomination much less the win.

He won the election and the popular vote.

He wasn't my choice to be the candidate, but weighing the good with the bad, I'm very satisfied thus far.

Says something about the people who voted for him or for a 3rd party, since more people voted against him than for him.

Says something about you that you mention the win so often but are painfully uninformed about what Trump actually does.  I wonder if you are engaged in these threads just to feel like you are owning the libs.  It sure seems like it.

Nice deflection to Trump to avoid the subject.

But the story Beerman posted is old news and I'll avoid the subject too,  Nothing earth shattering there that we haven't discussed.  I'm not going to comment on an old tired subject of an ex-President.

The Fox story was released Feb. 1.  It that such old news that you can just dismiss it.?

He won 30% of the of the vote relative to the number of voting age people.    Is that the mandate that he claims?  Remember that 36% of the population didn't vote at all.  I am in Florida with a Canadian friend now watching her dollar crash as we speak.  We spoke to a man at a parking meter who didn't even know anything about a tariff war but said that he voted!   He had no appreciation of the irony. My friend was shocked that anyone who voted  knew nothing of the tariff news.  He also didn't know how to pay to park his car and he's  a Floridian:)  He headed I to a bar while we had just finished breakfast.   Gotta love populism.  We are giving it a chance now.  Let's see how that works for us middle class people.

Do you think the subject of the story is important current events?

Populism differs from fascism in that populist accept election results when they lose. We are giving fascism a chance in the USA.

I didn't even read the story: just checked the day it was released.   That's all I had to know.  It was published days ago,not ancient history quite yet.

Populism  in this case IS fascism.  It's not the fantasy of Mr. Smith going to Washington kind of populism.
