There are plenty of undocumented people in my rural area. They do a lot of the menial tasks that US born people refuse, like farm work, housekeeping, and other hard labor jobs. As undocumented people, they receive no government benefits, unless a woman becomes pregnant, and then they get 6 months of Medicaid. 

Again with the blaming Trump. Biden is in charge and created this mess. There was also a child that died in the river trying to cross, I am sure you remember how everyone went crazy when that happened when Trump was Pres. But radio silence when it is Biden. Yes, I know drugs are coming at border checkpoints but also via other means which is also documented. People coming here and living do in fact cost taxpayers millions each year.

And that is not even counting the 86 million Biden just gave for the current crisis to house, education, provide mental care etc for the migrants crossing now.

Maybe some people are OK with that, and maybe some are not, to each his own.

But, I would think we could all agree that this is not the right time. We are still in a pandemic and still reeling financially from that economically. I don't think it is fair to keep saying that Americans and/or legal residents would not do jobs that illegals do. Poor communities already struggling will be hurt the most which some could say is just plain cruel to them!

Radio silence? Hardly.  The press ask questions and report about the immigration issue all the time.  Do you watch the daily press briefings? 

I read that link...but I'm wondering why you would link to a source that is unreliable, extreme in it's views and is at least loosely affiliated with white supremacy.

Why don't you take the report from the Office of the Inspector General seriously? Aren't you interested in what Director Carson was achieving on behalf of the Trump administration?

What did you expect when you linked to the Web page of an anti-immigrant organization, that some consider to be a hate group, that has known ties to white supremacy? Is there some issue with mentioning evidence of racism?

I am not sure that stating facts about how illegal immigrants affect American citizens and legal residents is considered a hate group or racist.

One could argue that perhaps people who make policies that hurt poor communities and/or others in America with their immigration policies are racist, bigoted or sexist against those already here.

Why do you accept as fact that which is offered by an extremist, anti-immigration organization that has a reputation and history of inaccuracy in their very biased content? Do you employ that low a standard for your professional information vetting?

Me pointing out that the children appeared to be dropped over a wall erected during the previous administration is blaming Trump? Next you are going to tell me children drowned in the river because Biden dug it.

I looked at your FAIR website and I am skeptical of their figures. For instance, they claim a cost of almost $2 trillion in school lunches for children of undocumented persons, and yet the USDA reports the whole school lunch program costs $14 billion. And they claim costs for SNAP and TANF, which undocumented people don't qualify for. 

What are these great jobs that Americans can't get? In my area undocumented workers are employed in fish and meat processing plants, dairy farms knee-deep in manure, berry farms, construction labor.

As I have pointed out, that group is anti-immigrant to the extreme and has affiliation with white supremacy...in addition to having a terrible reputation for publishing inaccurate content.  I can only wonder why anyone would consider them a good resource.

Confirmation bias. As long as you find a source that agrees with you there is no need to scrutinize who they are and how they arrive at their claims.
