Wow. No one has started such a thread yet?
After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days, apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.
Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week, by the end of April.

You seem to imply that SC justices do not recuse. Then how to you explain Justice Thomas recusing himself 54 times since he was appointed.

Sometimes because of possible conflict of interest related to his son, but never his wife.

What were the circumstances of his previous recusals?

I wasn't aware they or him recused that often. You're right, my reasoning doesn't hold water.
Looks like his recusals were cases he was named in, or parties named were ones his son was directly affiliated with, such as employers.
Is his wife directly involved with any party named in a case that has come before SCOTUS?

Has Thomas public spoken one way or another about recusing himself?

Clarence Thomas' wife linked to Jan. 6 insurrection organizers: report
QuoteFeb 22, 2022 The conservative wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas allegedly had ties to organizers of the deadly riots at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. The New York Times reports that Virginia "Ginni" Thomas serves on the board of the right-wing activist group C.N.P. Action, the political advocacy arm of Council for National Policy Action which urged its 400 members to “pressure” GOP lawmakers in three of the swing states — Arizona, Georgia and Pennsylvania – to challenge the 2020 election results. The goal was to keep then-President Donald Trump in power.

Ginni Thomas' lawyer tries to get her out of Jan. 6 panel testimony ...

...The attorney for Virginia "Ginni" Thomas, the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, questioned the need for her testimony before the January 6 committee and said it had been a "particularly stressful time" amid recent Supreme Court rulings.
The House committee investigating the Capitol riot requested a voluntary interview with Thomas earlier this month over her efforts to overturn the 2020 election. She did not formally accept the invitation but said two weeks ago that she "can't wait" to speak to the panel.
"Joe’s a lost cause: No plan, no hope from Biden, say blunt lefties"....
"Democrats had hoped the dramatic reversal of Roe v. Wade last month would be a boon to their prospects in November. That it would light a fire under their voters and drive them to the polls. But so far the fire from the left is directed at the White House itself. Despite a norm-exploding leak from the court, the administration still was caught flat-footed when the decision dropped — aides were literally out getting coffee — leading to the president’s weak and widely panned remarks."

While we’re still a ways from 2024, I don’t see a viable dem candidate at this time. I never thought biden would be a 2 term president and at this point I don’t think harris can win a national election.

I don't see that either one of them will be the nominee.

They are going to be looking to dump Biden. He will finally start getting so real press coverage of his failures. Not to mention how messed up his kids are.
