Wow. No one has started such a thread yet?
After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days, apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.
Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week, by the end of April.

I hope you can see how superficial your statement is?
My statement is your exact words. You are talking about paying people half price, who basically smile, shut up, and don't complain because in your own words "they have too much to loose". Then you continue with the virtue of those (in a nutshell) know their place.
Superficial? Sorry those happy smiling immigrants should not be happy or thankful to be under your foot or anyone elses.

Fox News today is covering the former Prince and his wife as the headline with 10 stories about them. No stories about the security forces being overwhelmed or any crisis at the border.
I think Democrats and it seems Republicans too while maybe not fine with how it's playing out, are waiting to see how it's going to play out before making judgement. It's quite clear it is a looming and serious issue.

I understand what you're saying and I think the poster you're talking with was perhaps a bit insensitive to that and might appreciate being educated.
That said, many of these immigrants travel many miles and endure harsh conditions and risk of life and make the choice to come here. It's not like we're going to Central America and capturing them against their will and enslaving them. Yes, maybe they are happy to be hear at least where there isn't gang war and extreme poverty and perhaps a chance for themselves and their children at a better way of life.
It's also not like we're treating them well when they arrive and when we employ them. I get that.
What we are after is a more human approach when they arrive, since we can't seem to stop them. They certainly do not need to be abused and treated unfairly at the border and beyond.

I can't find where the administration has responded but as someone that represents a border community Henry Cuellar has some valid concerns and should have accurate information.
Yep. Address concerns. I'm not certain that Fox knows how to do that. It's important to remember that regardless the letter behind the name, a representative's concern may or may not be supported by the actual facts.

Or he was countering the notion that immigrants are any where near as likely to commit crimes as complacent natural born citizens. They are largely careful to avoid conflict or appearance of unsavory behavior, in my experience.

What would it take for you to stop citing the dailywire scam of a "newspaper?" No one is going to take you seriously - just another brain-washed follower who doesn't know a reputable source from a rag. NO ONE is in favor of open borders. If we actually HAVE open borders, then why are people detained in Mexico now when they could just walk across the border in multiple places? Personally I want at least a criminal check on adults. You haven't offered a single solution or creative idea to solve this problem so I can' t take you seriously as anyone with a moral compass or a person of any ingenuity. You must live in downtown Whitelandia if your hospital could function without immigrant employees. I haven't ever worked in a hospital that could function without them. Hotels, restaurants and airports depend in a majority of immigrant labor. We are better off vetting them and let them in. IAmerica is a big, rural country. We have jobs for people that are going begging because not enough Americans want to do them despite them being well paying positions.

What should he have done to prepare? Italy, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Germany and Mexico would all love to hear your plan.

Building the wall, allowing tough security measures, and not making America look like the friendly place that promotes an open border, not un-doing all the good Trump did to stem the tide.
