Wow. No one has started such a thread yet?
After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days, apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.
Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week, by the end of April.

This reads like social media hysteria and hyperbole. You've mentioned it a couple of times now.
Please provide a link which describes or explains this phenomenon so that I can try to understand your belief. I know a trans man, he doesn't talk like that. My son in law works with a Trans woman and she doesn't talk like that...help me understand

You are not as ignorant as you pretend to be. You know exactly what I am referring to. Your post sound as if you are the author of a far left radical antifa or something morificecript. . The new far left dictionary of changed words . Birthing people, people who mensterate, chest feeding, no such thing as gender, gender is infinite, no biological sex , racism privilege plus power...... on and on .
J.k Rowling was canceled for saying there is such thing as biological sex. So many examples. Do your own research.

I am certainly ignorant of the notion you've mentioned regarding telling women that their gender doesn't exist and I'm asking you to provide some more substance for that rather unbelievable stance.
I did complete a cursory Google search and now I'm asking you, since you've authored that sentiment in this thread for all of us to read. Where did you hear or read that?
What does it mean when you say that the author was cancelled? Did her publisher dump her? Maybe her book sales are down. Is that more of the social media culture wars? It's easy to think that this is all social media animus given that you just listed an unrelated hodgepodge of conservative grievance in response to a specific question. Let's stick with your notion that women are being told that their gender doesn't exist before we mix racism and privilege into the porridge, OK?

Please do not demand people/women to recognize your "gender" while at the same time tell women that their gender does not exist. Or call someone a bigot because they use the word breastfeeding feeding. I'm not saying that what you do tweety but I think it might be what Ms T might be referring to. "Hating women" is a little exaggerated I think.
I don't think that transgendered women are advocating that female gender doesn't exist, but that are female gendered themselves and want to be acknowledged as such. There are people that are never going to acknowledge that a trans woman should be considered female. There is no sitting down and listening to both sides and coming to an understanding.
Also more and more transgendered men are having children while they still have their uterus (some have elective hysterectomy) and what's wrong with calling them a parent rather than a mother, or a pregnant person rather than a pregnant woman? What's wrong with say to them "human milk" instead of "breast milk"? Is it that hard? Certainly it's not fair to yell "bigot" to someone saying breastmilk. Again with this discussion there are people that are going to be respect and some that won't. The time for coming to an understanding has passed I think and people are going to do what they are going to do.
It seems a bit transphobic to put gender in quotes like you did.
I do agree that it gets out of hand sometime with the rhetoric back and forth. Someone shouldn't get upset with saying "pregnant people". I had to Google what you meant by breastfeeding and I found that when dealing with transgendered parents some were encouraging gender neutral terms to be more inclusive. One shouldn't be called a bigot for not knowing this. I would be bigotry to deliberately belittle someone and use the terms for this purpose.
Nothing wrong with showing a little respect back and forth.
I saw a Tik-Tok the other day of someone that described themselves as "trans but not gendered". I'm confused as heck about that but have to respect how they define themselves even if it makes no sense to me. Nonbinary persons are something I've struggled with.

I never said anything negative about anyone or their choice. My quotations should not be seen a phobic as I didn't intend it that way. Anyone can say what they wish. If someone wants to say pregnant people no problem but if I want to say women should be no problem either. If people want to believe biological sex is real as it has always been. And really who cares who is what. I don't need to know people's gender or sex to talk to them in everyday conversations.
When there is a break down of understanding of words and terms no body can relate. The sky is blue but someone says pink, you can't really come together as there is no standard understanding.
As I said it is the loud minority probably not the majority. I teach my kids boy girl and sometimes in between. Breast can be on someone who identifies as a man, but they are still breast. And if gender doesn't exist then there's no need to transition. Again, not common understanding of terms and definitions.
There is a marked bigotry from both sides or infinite sides or no sides at all. Or some of both.blol

I say do your own research. The only thing you will do with my sources is discredit, devalue as "conservative grievance ". I work and do not have time. You will discredit anything I say so use your superior non bias "propaganda " detector. There has been no federal judge or institution. Some say gender doesn't exist. Some say there are an infinite number Some say there is no such thing as man or woman. See? No common understanding of words and terms. So it depends on which far left media, Youtube, news anchor on CNN you want to pick.
Yes. Jk Rowling was attacked on social media. By transactivist for saying biological sex exist.

Yet you've mentioned a couple times that woman are being told that their gender doesn't exist. Given that such thinking and commentary is ABSOLUTELY indicative of fringe rhetoric it's interesting that your media is sharing this kind of extremism...do you think they are trying to manipulate the emotions and feelings of their audience? I do.

I did the research and I discovered exactly zero credible citations for that sentiment about telling women that their gender doesn't exist. That's why I am asking you why you believe this is a societal problem.
Yes you work and you have time to make incredible and unbelievable claims while, conveniently having no time to support those claims wth citations. I'm now going to guess that's because you don't want to link to a facebook comments section or an odd facebook group that's agitated about this notion. You could prove me wrong about that but I anticipate more smoke and mirrors to detract from the reality that you are spreading silliness because you've been inflamed by your media consumption.
OK. You say is a problem because you believe that "some" say there is no such thing as man or woman...and you repeat that as if it's evidence when you haven't verified that at all. You simply accept it. And you either can't or won't substantiate your belief worth a citation.
I say there's a problem because the former president and many republican legislators and political leaders are saying that the 2020 election was stolen from Trump and that there is cause for concern and a need to restrict some access to voting. That is pretty much the same as republicans telling the world that the blue sky is actually pink.
Yes. The author and her social media experience. That seems really important to you? You seem to be concerned with social media wars. facebook loves that and the more you look at the content FB offers you on these subjects, the more extreme the content will become. That is the nature of the engagement AI.
It's telling that you list Youtube and CNN and far left media even though I've never offered you any indication that I inform myself using those platforms. That means that it appears that you are projecting. I do share Youtube videos of content that I've watched on public television or free TV...I don't peruse Youtube for news or to inform myself, I look for specific content so that I can share it. Do you?

I use the same Google you do. However I also use alternate search engines. I'll find references when I have time and will post them for you. So you can discredit them by claiming they are propaganda. Determined by you of course.

You've made this claim a few times, and while I don't have much problem finding others who also claim this, the problem is all of those examples I can find are promoting it as a way of promoting fear and hate of the transgendered.
It seems to be a misrepresentation of the fairly well established premise that the aspects of development that determine our gender identity is not consistently binary. The idea that gender is more of a spectrum than binary has been part of mainstream Biology since the 1950's. It's not the same as saying that the concept of gender doesn't exist.
2 hours ago, Cclm said:As I said it is the loud minority probably not the majority.
Unfortunately we minorities have had to be pretty out and loud to be heard and understood. The majority has always oppressed the minority.
But I agree if someone says I'm a female and my pronouns are she/her even if I was born biologically male and someone says "no you're a man and always will be and you're an abomination and I don't want my child exposed to you or know you even exist" there is no understanding and meeting in the middle. Doors are closed on both sides.
The only the thing we can hope for is that the loud minority shouts loud enough that enough people get it and they are treated as equal citizens with rights of the gender they feel they truly are, not what someone else defines them as.
As we've said around another topic, usually justice and peace prevails and the majority gives a little in the name of fairness and constitutional rights. Sometimes the majority has to give some and rewrite how they understand the world they control.
