hi! i am enrolled with the college network. i am getting ready to take the nursing concepts 1 exam. can anyone tell me if the exam is anything like the practice exams that are at the end of every chapter in the book.

Lola- I am an RT in NY and am studying for NC1. Did you take it yet?

I'm still not used to all the "nursey" stuff lol. It seems a little dorky to me... but RTs are a total buncha freaks, so I'm certainly not one to make fun lol.

I have a suspicion that think I'll always secretly be an RT at heart... I just don't feel very "nursey" although I can't describe what that is.

i also studied for several months to take the nc1 and when i went to pearson vue it was totally different. i got a D and was devastated. any tips out there. is the only way to do this is to buy the study books from excelsior. if it is i just wasted a lot of money on study guides from a prep company. heeeelllllpppp!! I would like to take the nc1, nc3 and possibly nc4 before the end of the year. crazy huh. i'm motivated just not able to get the right study materials.

The NC exam content guide for EC website only guides you in where to study. It does, however, have practice exam in the back of the 44 pgs. Somewhat helpful, but not a study guide.

I took NC1 in October. Know your Nursing Process and Maslows....forwards and backwords...I have since taken NC3, NC4, LifeSpan, ect....look at the free contect study guides offered through EC. I did not go through any publishing co. I went straight through EC.

Did you take the Excelsior concepts1 yet? I am preparing to take this as well at the end of Feb. I only have the one text (Fundamentals). (I am nervous as to how this test will be. The info seems sort of abstract.

You can get the rest of the books online for cheap, as well, I wouldn't pass up some of the study guides former students sell on ebay. Every resource helps, including those excelsior online practice exams.
