[coor=royalblue]the senior members rock, you guys are soooo encouraging!!!!!!!
hi! i am enrolled with the college network. i am getting ready to take the nursing concepts 1 exam. can anyone tell me if the exam is anything like the practice exams that are at the end of every chapter in the book.
HI eveyone I just passed NSG Concepts1 Jan 18 and studied from the college network binder. Most of the questions are related to nursing process remember the steps A.D.P.I.E and study for the infecious process and patient safety. Know basic nursing math and formulas for math and if you have worked as an LPN the test is common sense stuff just relax and keep nerves at bay.
Best Wishes to all of you. I am taking Micro next .

I just took the Nursing Concepts 1 exam and the books I studied with were from the College Network. Those books did not prepare me for the test at all. I have been an LPN for 22 years and work in Labor and Delivery, I was very disappointed and called excelsior only to find out that CN is just a publishing company and does not prepare you for the actual exam. I was advised to go to the www.excelsior.edu website and download the nursing concepts 1 info, it is 44 pages and it will prepare you for the test. It was my first time taking it at pearson vue, and it was 160 questions. If I can be of any other further help just let me know. I spent $3,500 on the CN books only to find out they are not what I need. Very disheartened in Florida, but I have found out all of the proper things now and will get the right books so I will be prepared. HOW EMBARRASSING!!!!!!!

:smackingf I have taken the practice exam at the back of the book and I have used the online practice question and the lines of thought are are very different to me. So I am not sure if I really have it all together or not.. I did so so with the questions on line.
