hi! i am enrolled with the college network. i am getting ready to take the nursing concepts 1 exam. can anyone tell me if the exam is anything like the practice exams that are at the end of every chapter in the book. :confused:

hi there. to answer ur question...no it was nothing like the practice tests in coll-net module. I thought that was what it was going to be like. i left that test center in tears because I failed..I got so confused. i hope i pass next time. :o

Just wondering if you passed the NC1 test the second time, I also took it and felt the same way, I got a D and studied with the CN book.

Well, Happy Valentine's Day to you too. What was the reason why CN did not work for you? I find it to be quite informative. I do have a fundamental of nursing text to guide me if I am having difficulty with any topic. So far, my biggest need for help is with calculating dosages per kg/mg/day. Mostly pediatric dosages. I am not very experience with calculating pediatric doses. Anyway, what did you do to get out of the contract with CN, if you did? Let me know what my options are, should I need them. I know alot of people that have had major problems with the study materials from RUE. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you. I also read the post on Suzanne's info for successful study tips using the Sauders book. I will be puchasing that book this weekend. I need to check ebay to see if it might be cheaper there.

I studied the book from cn and took all of the practice tests in that book and felt very confident with the material I had studied. Then went to Pearson Vue to take the test and it was 160 questions that I had never seen before. I got a D which is failing so I got on line with excelsior and they told me to download materials from their website and get the books from their bookstore as the test questions come from there not CN. So far that is true those materials I downloaded will prepare you. I wish you the best of luck if I can be of any help or you need a long distance study buddy contact me.

my name is mark howard and i want to take test 1 and test 2 in june time frame if you can help me i will like that. i purchase some cd from ebay of 1 and 2 it little hard for me understand material with out little help.

I am a respiratory therapist from TN and am planning on taking NC 1 next month. Any other RTs get their RN through Excelsior? Is it doable? I always read about LPNs doing it but never RTs.
