preparing to take nursing concepts 1 exam

hi! i am enrolled with the college network. i am getting ready to take the nursing concepts 1 exam. can anyone tell me if the exam is anything like the practice exams that are at the end of every chapter in the book. :confused:

Hello everyone,

I am currently taking the nursing concepts 1 class. We have 3 exams in this class. We have had a couple quizzes and two presentations but unless I can get a 77 average on my 3 exams the rest doesn't get counted.

We have completed the first two exams, I didn't do well I received a 71 and a 74. I did well on the NCLEX questions just not on the essay questions. I need to achieve an 83 on my final exam in two weeks to pass this class.

Any help as to what to study and where would be great. I have studied the disc that came with my book i know it inside and out. I have done the whole workbook but I am still not feeling prepared. I am scared I will fail this class. I don't want to fail, I work my heart out on learning the material needed.

Janice, are you an Excelsior College student? Your post is a bit confusing, as Excelsior is self-study, self-paced without separate quizzes and presentations. Nursing Concepts 1 is one exam, now called "Essentials of Nursing Care: Health Safety," not Nursing Concepts 1.

I am a full time student at Husson University in Maine in the BSN of nursing program. I don't want to sound dumb but I am not quite sure what you mean by excellsior.

I am looking for any help anyone can offer. I will take any guidance that you all have to give. :redpinkhe

The "nursing concepts 1" that is being discussed in this thread is an exam at Excelsior College.

Oh I am sorry.

If anyone knows where I may find a study group that would fit my situation for nursing concepts 1 I would appreciate any help.
