I understand your frustration with your family. But, using the word retarded to describe them is offensive to the mentally challenged people. Especially if you are going to be a nurse, it is important that you have the understanding and maturity in reference to peoples diseases and illnesses.

I really do apologize for my use of the word - and I haven't used it in a long time after someone asked me not to. I was more implying that you would have to be mentally challenged to do to me what my idiot family has done. Or psychotic (which most of them are). I apologize - I won't do it again, I guess, though I was under the impression this was a venting thread. :o Again, sincere apologies.:loveya:

First of all retarded can be applied to a multitude of impairments, infact it just means that something about something is underdeveloped, so ease off the whole PC bandwagon, its kind of immature.

Anyways I am letting out my frustration that is built up from all the "pre-med" and "pre-pharm" students in my bio for science major class that talked mad crap on me for "only" wanting to be a nurse, and now they are all looking at nearly failing midterms while I havent got a question wrong yet. How can anyone think that they can be a doctor when they can't do simple assays, let alone grasp the basic concepts of biology...

Fabulous thread ... Im enjoying reading it. I just paid for my first pre-req (Chemistry) and my books should be coming any day now. I start next Monday (26th) and am sooo excited to start this journey even though It looks like it's going to be quite the roller coaster!!

All of you just keep up the good work. I am just finishing my last 3 classes. Cannot wait to sleep for two weeks in December after classes end.

Hi, i dont think this is the right thread to post this...But, i was a pre-pharm student and i was taking all my pre-reqs and it just seemed to be an endless list...argh, i was sooo fustrated... i was worried that i was going to spend 4 yrs in college and have like a bachelors in pre-reqs.. so i was talking to my aunt and she was like why dont you do nursing? and i was like really..but then we went into walgreens and i just changed my mind.... i realize that all pharmacists dont work at walgreens but it was just depressing and to me is seemed like a boring way to spend one's time... you see, i enjoy when my life is moving at 80mph...when everything is fast..i get a thrill from stress for some wierd reason...so i am changing my major to nursing....i have just 2 more semesters of pre-reqs before i apply ( i was spending my time taking all my pharm pre-reqs)...but so far i am doing good...from what i have read...it seems to be a high-stress job...so i am looking forward to it....But here's a scream for you guys that are stressed out......AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

AHHHHHHHHHH.....there you go..... :) :loveya:

I'm screaming, but refuse to die of stress as I make the decision to withdraw from my Microbiology class, which means I have to leave it for the Summer session instead. Ugh. So instead of being done with my prereqs by May, I have to return for Summer.
