Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Just checking in ealry to see who else is as anxious as I am to start in January. If you are still awaiting your acceptance letter, I know the feeling and I am sure it will arrive soon. So who else is starting in January?

I am waiting for an acceptance letter too! I was originally supposed to know something by October 31, but was recently told that there was a "delay" and the letters might not go out until sometime in November. I just want to know!!!

Specializes in ICU.

I'm starting a year long LPN program in January. They cut off accepting more people into the program just after I took my test. Whew!

The contract for the job I'm working at now ends Dec 30, but they might offer me a couple more months of my contract. That would be good because it would really help me pay for school, but then I wouldn't be able to start in January. It's a dilemma!

Specializes in Pediatric ICU.

I just found out on Tuesday that I'm in for the January class. I'm absolutely thrilled. I am so ready! I got my 4th choice but that's o.k. It's better than waiting another semester.

Orientation, formal letter, information....all still to be delivered. Where's that pesky mailman anyway?

Specializes in PeriOp, ICU, PICU, NICU.

I am so anxious and wishful for Jan start. However I won't find out until the 15th of Nov. Keep your fingers crossed for me so that I can be back and join your January start club :D

Specializes in OR, Robotics, Telemetry.

Woo Hoo! :w00t:

Count me in, I recieved my acceptance letter on Saturday for my 1st choice (the school I am currently enrolled in for my pre-nurse classes) .

I was so excited I did the snoopy dance.

Can't wait for Janurary and to start the BSN program.

Congratulations to all that made it, good luck to everyone waiting for their letters. :yeah:

Specializes in CVICU.

Congratulations to everyone. I also got my letter. I am so excited. It is hard to concentrate on this semester because I can't wait for the next one to start. We will all make awesome nurses.

Me! I got my letter a couple weeks ago. Orientation is next week. Getting excited and nervous. Will be in a 3 semester LPN program so I can get to earning money faster and then the part time articulation program to RN. (2 more semesters, but you have to have a year LPN work experience first)

I am also starting in January. I got my acceptance letter on Oct. 15th. :) Good luck to everyone!!

I will also start in January. Our orientation is November 7th. Now, I have to come up with the money for scrubs, equipment, some kind of computer program and CPR training.

My husband and I checked into one of those title loan places, but backed out when we found out the intrest rate was....302%!!

I got my acceptance phone call yesterday. I was a bit surprised since I still have to take A&P II next semester. My co-worker was also accepted. We work in a one-doctor medical office and this will leave the doctor with only one employee, the receptionist, and she only started 3 weeks ago. I feel just terrible about it:idea: , but he has been very supportive and has encouraged us to continue our education and advance.

I am very excited and can't wait to get started!!!

Tracey, in FL

Specializes in Geriatrics, Cardiac, ICU.

I start my first semester of five for a BSN at the University of Memphis on January 17th. Good Luck to everyone.

I'm in for January :balloons: . I can't wait to start. I am soooo nervous! Our orientation is next week, then we get to go buy our uniforms. I think the whole reason I wanted to be a nurse is so I can wear my pajamas to work :rotfl: . Just kidding. Could you imagine if I answered the "why do you want to be a nurse question" with that at an interview! :rotfl: Congrats to all and good luck for those of you who are still waiting!
