Hi all :)
I am starting the A&P I in the spring and have ordered the book that comes with atlas and 2 CDs. I also have Netter Flash Cards. What would you recommend I get that you found useful in Anatomy?
Thank you :)

I have found the anatomy coloring books to be extrememly helpful for me.
The one I us is:
The Anatomy Coloring Book by Wynn Kapit/ Lawrence M. Elson
ISBN 0-8053-5086-1
I take my Final in this class tomorrow and I have been pulling A's on every test thus far. I feel that the book has helped me acheive this.
Best Wishes!

Its mostly about taking good notes at this point.....if it is primarily online like my AP was then ya gotta be self motivated. that said cardio, positioning and ROM are tough..........i did very well in all but CNS 12 cranial nerves

I agree that the coloring books are helpful at this level. The netter cards, tho, in my experience, are not... I found it much more helpful to make my own flashcards...better recall of material if I wrote it myself.

I used the websites that are attached to the books for practice questions and review excercises. (Which texts are you using?) I also bought Anatomy and Physiology Made Incredibly Easy, and found it to be a concise review book with some excellent review questions. Good Luck!

I actually found the store bought flash cards worked really well for me. Got to spend more time quizzing myself rather than cutting and pasting. Everyone's different, so you'll probably just need to spend some time finding what works best for you. Good luck with A&P!

I just got done taking A&P I and I too can say the recommendations from the previous individuals were very helpful. There are A LOT of good websites out there to help you take practice exams (which I found out through this site - THANK YOU!) but I also recommend hooking up with a good study group if you can. I attempted studying by myself the first half of the semester and struggled...the second half I hooked up with some classmates and improved my grade from a 'D' to a 'B'...
Sometimes hearing other people's perspectives on things really helps solidify the concept...
Good Luck!

The netter flashcards were awesome for me for bones and muscles!! I have the coloring book but only used it like twice. Adam was awesome too.
Thank you all so much :)
TORTORA A & P PACKAGE is what I will be using. I will make sure I get the coloring books and search all the websites.
