Starting end of January 2013

Suffolk county community college

RN ADN program, it's a two year program

I'm a LPN, but taking a traditional RN program, not a bridge program

Excited about everything, and nervous about everything.

Hello!

I just received my call this morning and I am so excited to begin the program. I will be attending the nursing program at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. It is a RN BSN program and will take 16 months of my life. lol. I am most excited to go to clinicals and get a taste of the nursing experience, but that part is also what scares me the most. It's a surreal feeling to finally get the confirmation that I got in the program. I've been waiting for months and months and all the worrying I did was worth it. I really don't have any planning to do since I am a traditional student, but I know I need to get more paperwork done and to get my scrubs and such. I'm just really excited to start!

Specializes in Med Surg, PCU, Travel.

I'm in for UCF...I'm most excited about actually graduating...I'm most scared of starting the program.... lol. I am non-traditional student. I have less than 2 months to plan my transistion from working to being a student, possibly both and I wont be able to keep my current job, I'm the only one working ,paying the bills and i got 2 kids...no worries huh? lol

I'm in! I am attending 's ACE program in 2013. I'm excited about finally being accepted into a school. I'm blessed and thankful that God has opened this door for me. I am scared of the unknown and the intensity of the work. But I am going to give it a shot and try my best!

YAY!! I finally got my acceptance letter today and couldn't be any happier!!

Where are you attending? Greenville Technical College in Greenville, SC

What are you most excited for? Learning new things and clinicals

What are you most scares about? the unknown, such as things that I may not be prepared for

What planning do you need to do? I don't start until March (I am in group two of the accepted nursing students, they start the first group in January and the second group 7 weeks later in March!) so I will be able to work and save money and also brush up on my Anatomy and Physiology!

Who's in? I'm in!

Where are you attending? A BSN program in TN. I already have other degrees, so I'm going directly into the nursing classes.

What are you most excited for? To get started!! I hate waiting!

What are you most scared about? Scheduling--I have 3 kids. And I'm scared about the clinical part, since I have no experience. Studying and those types of things are things I'm good at. But gaining skills and not looking like an idiot are my unproven areas.

What planning do you need to do? Oh, boy, a list a mile long. I have some vaccination issues to clear up (I'm older, so my records aren't as clear as they'd like). That's my most stress causing thing right now. Also, need to visit financial aid office to talk about the award they're offering. It's based on my married salary, which is drastically different than my divorced salary! Get my schedule made, attend orientation, then can start working on my childcare to fill in the gaps. But all the headache is worth it!!!

I'm most excited about jumping right in! As soon as I heard, I sort of said eff it to the other schools I applied to I could get started in the nursing program right away.

I'm most scared about living in a new area.

I need to: quit my job, pass my last 2 prerequisites, confirm my financial aid package, find a place to live and get my physical and vaccinations.

Does anyone else feel like time is moving incredibly fast??

Who's in?Im in!!Where are you attending?Muhlenberg School of NursingWhat are you most excited for?Im ready to start my clinicals and learn everything I can. What are you most scares about?I hear thr horror stories of how hard clinical is, I hope I can strike a healthy balance and keep up with the courseload. What planning do you need to do?I need to finish up my medical clearance , get my daughter enrolled in her new school, sort out financial aid, and prepare myself for dorm life.

Specializes in Surgical/Ortho.

I got my acceptance letter yesterday! Yeahh

Who's in?I am!

Where are you attending?

North Idaho College

What are you most excited for?

Starting classes, and just getting to move beyond my current position.

What are you most scares about?

I am most scared about the tests. People have told me how hard the tests can be.

What planning do you need to do?

Work needs to be figured out.

I'm in, and will be attending UNM. I know I'm in for a challenge, but I like challenges. I'm excited to finally learn what it takes to become a nurse, and to be in school with good friends.

I'm most afraid of failing. I hope that the study habits I've developed will serve me well, and I hope I'll be able to think quickly. I'm afraid that I'll hate the eBooks our faculty has decided to adopt this term.

Hi! I'm starting at OCTC in Owensboro RN-BSN program. Orientation in August, very excited and nervous!
