I can't take it. I just can't take it anymore.

I check these forums everyday hoping to find someone an alum or applicant from the SFSU Nursing program. I Google all possible phrases similar to "SFSU Nursing students" to try and find someone who is in or has graduated from the program.

I found a website from the first graduating class at the Canada program (SFSU has a satellite program that people with a BA/BS can apply to - the main campus doesn’t take 2nd bach, so this program allows people to apply and earn their BSN from SFSU though classes are held at a community college in Redwood City called Canada College) and I just find myself being INSANELY jealous of them.:angryfire

I PRAY (mind you, I’m not religious) that I get in and waiting until the last week of this month or early April is EATING AT MY SOUL. :crying2:

Am I nuts? Nevermind. Don't answer that....I know the answer already, I'm just in denial. :trout:

Um, no! NOT weird. I just love being in the book store. There are so many I want to read, but I never have time to finish them. It makes me feel like a slacker....

I think that's what I'll do tonight...go and look at nursing books. :D . As I'm flipping the pages, I'll think of you....:)

Teeheee, hey i forget did you apply to a 2yr ADN program or an accelerated BSN program. Mine is two years, hospital based and private, in NY all the city community colleges look at GPA alone and they want nothing less than a 3.7 to get in some even want 4.0 i don't have that, i have damn near 200 credits!!! The school I applied too takes GPA, NLN scores, recommendations, personal statement and experience into consideration, so I am praying that what I lack in GPA and transcript the rest of it will out shine it. The school has a bridge with another nursing program at a uni to start taking some BSN nursing courses as electives I think, so that when you are done it will only take you a year to get the BSN. I think thats how it works, well at least thats what they say on the website and at the open house. Hows about yours, I see you are in Cali, hows the weather, i swear mother nature is going through menopause over here. Yesterday it was damn near 60 degrees (hot flashes anybody?? :uhoh3:) and now today its a freaking blizzard. what the heck??!! :trout:

GottaGetIn: Where are you??? Did you do the switcharoo with your schools yet? How did it go? Did you get your packet and stuff for school, like what books you need, uniforms, shoes and what not? when does school start. Let us know how its going so we can live vicariously though you and be even more nutty tee hee :rotfl: oh and MC Hammer dance for you again for getting in!!!!!!!

Hey guys!! hows the nutty gang!

Mystiqx, im taking A&P II and I go to HUnter! :) the brookedale campus is 4 ave away from the subway! (@25th and 1st) and i do prefer walking than taking the bus! unfortunatley classes were not suspended. so thats a the snow/sleet, and the exam! not really my favorite day. :D

any news yet?

Hey there caeiluna, no news today yet. An entire week gone by and nothing, its very disheartening but im trying to keep my hope and spirits up.

Sorry you had to go to class in this nastiness today. How is A+P II? I took it last summer at city tech, had an excellent teacher, i could have gotten a better grade than i did but i was so discourged with everthing i sorta stopped trying, i still passed but i could have done better, got a B but oh well. I had work today but i only work half days on friday, travelled alllll the way to brooklyn after work to make my hair appt (yes i know...madness) got there and my stylist called out sick and nobody called me to tell me. I was too cold to get mad, so i just went home, i'll get it done on sunday. Then had to travel allllll the way back to queens to get home. sigh. At least the travel time gave me time to read and i didn't think about school.

I went to hunter the one on 68th street for a couple of classes, seems like everyone on the forum is applying there, I only know of one person on here applying to Beth Israel but im sure they got an insane amount of applications, last year they got 800 applications for 133 seats i think it was. I just hope they give me a chance.

The programs are insane i just don't understand it....

:welcome: to Nuttines R' US complements Jewelsg627, where we prove that you are not the only one that is semi crazy tee hee.

I think this place is a nice comfort zone. We are all passionate about what we want around here and thats to get into our respective programs. I am already convinced that my mother will have to commit me by the time as its all over, i think i should start looking up institutions LOLOL!!!!

Anyway, its fun to just talk about the crazy things we do while waiting for our answers, I think we all believe that we are the only ones and would never ever ever tell anyone cause it can be a little embrassing, till you find someone just like you that does the very thing you are, and then you just breathe a sigh of relief. ;)

Well, so I did go into Borders (bookstore) and thougt of you, Mystiqx. I picked up a Pathophys. book and thought I was going to die (I also managed to sprain my shoudler in the process...the thing must have been about 5000 pages!!)

So, letters for SFSU go out next week and I should know by the first week of April. Wish me luck....:uhoh3:

Well one more week to go before you find out, im sure you got in, most certain of it actually.

No news yet, im contemplating if i should call again today, but now im actually scared too, i had a terrible dream last night that i went in for the interview the lady came out, called my name, handed me a paper and it was a rejection letter. Then i was trying to explain myself and begging the people to let me in and i was crying too. This is baddddd. Somebody needs to call me soon before i loose it.
