Thanks! My GPA is 3.9 cumulative, but I've talked to people who got in w/ much lower. The GRE is what makes you a competitive applicant. I got a 1070 on that. I don't have a previous bachelors so it was hard. I took it more than once. If you haven't taken it already, I recommend taking a GRE prep class through Trident Tech and/or go through as many practice tests as you can. My references were previous professors. If you have any other questions, let me know!
3.9, that's great!!
I'm so worried because my GPA is awful. I had a 3.7, then I transferred schools, got really depressed and got 15 credits of Fs!! I have it back up to a 2.90 and it should be at least a 3.2 by the time I graduate. But... ugh. I test well, so I should do pretty well on the GRE (my SATs were 1330). I'll definitely do a test prep course though! I have some volunteer experience and should get a good amount research experience by the time I graduate, so hopefully that will help.
How long have you lived in Charleston? Its such an awesome city... I actually put a deposit on a dorm at CofC before I ended up at UGA.
Anyway, I would love to keep in touch with you and hear what you think about the program once you start. I'm sure its going to be an awesome experience :) Congrats and good luck!!
Yeah we'll definitely keep in touch. I'll be hittin up this forum like whoa for support lol. Don't worry about your GPA. Seriously, if you test well on the GRE (above 1000), you got it. That's what they use to weed out applicants. CofC is a nice school. It's really pretty around that college in downtown Charleston.
