Take this thread back to the top.

what does that mean.

It means taking the thread back to the first page. It was on the second page.

so basically we take all these forms to our director and have them fill it out and then mail it right? i did the app and the bank form and other than that..thats it right.

Has anyone attended the info. session they had yesterday over the phone? I found the q&a very helpful.

Specializes in Emergency.

no. what did they say?

Specializes in Med-Surg Pulmonary.

So..I did the telephone conference yester day...anybody else? It was helpful but why are folks asking the SAME questions!!? over and over and over and over!!! Some questions are answered in BLACK and WHITE in the application bulletin. I know it was frustrating for ppl like me, who had questions that were not indicated in the packet. Everybody got their stuff in already??

It's a pity that people who have low EFCs greater than 0 have just about a 0% chance of getting this scholarship. In reality, what is the difference between an EFC of zero and one of $500? Not very much. Oh well, those are the rules.

I wish that the deadline wasnt so early. Also the program has to start in the fall but there are so many programs that start in winter and spring and have summer terms. Next year I guess.

i definitely agree with this. this is the first time im able to apply not only because it was my first time getting accepted, but even when i first heard of this scholarship i had an efc of 4000, because i was dependent, but i can tell you we didnt have 4000 to contribute to my education. i had to take student loans out. i think its crazy how they use the efc to determine who is need-based.

There are obviously so many people with an EFC of 0 that they don't need to make it any higher. Even if they did, there'd have to be a cut off somewhere and the people above the cut off would be upset. This scholarship is about greatest need, not merit or anything else and this is the method they're using to determine greatest need. Makes sense to me :twocents:
