The HRSA Nursing Scholarship is now available for the 2009-2010 school year! Here's a link to all the information...

I know thats how they are determining the greatest need, and I know this is a need based scholarship, I was speaking generally on terms of financial aid, not this scholarship predominately. sorry if there was confusion.

This is the first time I have applied for this scholarship. Anyone know if it is ok to mail in some of the documentation separately or if absolutely everything has to be in one envelope? Also, do I have to send in that W-4 stuff that it mentions on the checklist? I don't even know what that means. I don't file taxes because I am still a dependent with no income.

you fill out a W4 and put single, its step by step, but if you're a dependent and have a child but head of household. its really easy, just follow the instructions. i sent everything all at once, i wasnt taking any chances of me not being able to mail something later

Has everyone received this shoolarship yet? I know that no schollarships require banking information but this shoolarship does. I'm afraid that it's a scam!

This is not a scam. People have gotten this scholarship before. Its in our financial aid office at my school. This is government funding, so you're fine.

I received the scholarship last year. IT IS NOT A SCAM!!!!! It is a great program and a blessing from God if you receive it. The hardest part is waiting to see if you get it. The only reason they want your checking account is so that they can direct deposit into your account monthly.

Last year there was a link on the same page as the bulletin but i looked and it is not there this year. Maybe they will post it later. Your best bet is to call and see if they received all of your information. Other than that they will not tell you if you got it until they send out notification.:cry:

The NSP link does not really tell you anything as far as the status of your scholarship and when I call all they say is that my info has been received but I was one of the ones who had mailed the info to the wrong address and did not notice until a couple of weeks ago. Did anyone else mail their info to the wrong place? If so did you correct it in time.
