any updates??? Anyone getting any interviews at Orlando Health? Can anyone tell me the new pay rate for GN's with AS. Does it matter if you are in school for your BSN...do they take that into account when they are offering a pay rate?

No jobs yet. Looking for a GN job is HARD WORK. My nursing school never told me how hard it would be to get my first job! Geez maybe I would have started looking when I was half way done with nursing school if I knew.

Hello everyone. I am getting increasingly frustrated because I have been looking for a graduate nurse position since October. I graduated in December and passed the NCLEX last week. I have been on two interviews with no luck. I feel like the interviews go amazing but then I hear that it has been filled with someone else. I work for a hospital for 4 years and I thought that would give me a toe in the door. Florida hospital does not have anything on their website for GN's and Orlando Health has one. When I called about it they said that they have someone for the position and they are just waiting for them to apply. This is ridiculous. Why did I go to nursing school to have such a problem with finding a job? I am starting to look into nursing homes which is a complete 360 on the area I would really like to work which is postpartum. I haven spoken to all the managers of floors for the hospital I currently work for and my manager said they arent taking any new GN's in the pool. What am I suppose to do?? And does anyone know the starting salary in the orlando area for GN's?? Thanks for letting me vent.....

I definately believe in the trick. :up:I mean to me it makes perfect sense as to the logic of why it would send you to the payment screen versus the pop up. I took mine on Mar 2 and I tried the trick about 2 hours after finishing and it gave me the good pop up. It was the only thing keeping me sane because otherwise I would not have been able to sleep. I found out today that I passed!!! :lol2:So it does work..if anything use it as a way to help decrease your anxiety..

I just finished about 2 1/2 hours ago. I was 150% SHOCKED when the computer shut off at 75. I was expecting 85-90 or so because thats what happened on the ARNETT lol. Overall I felt good but my nerves were getting the best of me. I convinced myself that I was not going to do the pearson vue trick but I also agreed that it made sense. I wasnt going to be able to sleep so I gave in and did it. I got the good pop up so now I can untense my muscles a little bit so I dont throw myself into a sickness from stress and anxiety. I am waiting for good results tomorrow morning.....:redbeathe

Well I am in FL so we find out using a website what our results are within 24-48hrs... but everyone that I know has been 24hrs. I know it is shorter than many ppl that have to wait 4 weeks but 24hrs will feel like 4 weeks to me!!!

I have mine tomorrow morning!!!! So nervous!!!

:uhoh3:Testing tomorrow!!!!......I am just shaking with anxiety. I never thought I could need an antianxiety so much but I am just trying to pass the time. Honestly, I just want to take the test already so I can get this info out of my head.... it's driving me crazy thinking about the results by wed. morning...o geez!!
