i did the trick and it does work! my exam was thursday 75q in like an 1hr 15mins. i had like 12 sata and the last question was really easy so needless to say that didn't make me feel so good. lol but i did the trick, got the good pop up, and today checked my unofficial results stating that i passed and i am now officially jessica, rn bsn! to god be the glory!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

first....big congrats:bow: to all of you who have passed boards!! yaayyyy! god is great!!!!! hey yall! been reading through this thread since i registered to take my exam on may 19th !! i graduated on april 14th bsn :yeah:and needless to say i'm a bit nervous esp seeing all alot of you have done to study and i havent quite done alot since graduation! i work at this wonderful place that is paying me to study for boards via the hurst review and i take that this week starting tomorrow. in my nursing program we took the hesi it was def a little challenging but i did great on them. my former classmates who graduated in december said the hesi was more hard than the actual nclex exam! however,.... i'm not taking anything for granted so what would you all recommend for me at this point with like 11 days before i take boards?? any help would be greatly appreciated. i just dont want to overload my brain as its still recuperating from 3 intense years of nursing school .....thanks yall!

i think it would be easier for you to get a job at lebonheur because you can transfer within the system. st. jude has a very high retention rate, their rns are usually there for like a 100 years and when i check the site i never really see positions available. lebonheur is an awesome place and i think you would have no problem getting on there. i loved it when i did clinicals there! how long have you been an extern ii at methodist? i actually graduate in april and am currently looking for postions. i have an interview with methodist germantown for an rn position but wondering should i also apply for extern tier ii positions. would you have any tips or advice/info to give about the position?

hey future, thanks for the helpful info. i take the exit hesi later on this year so yeah i needed that. i'm glad you replied to my thread because i was able to reflect back to where i was last year totally stressing over those classes. i am now in my psych rotation, headed to community and boy does it feel good that i did make it through like so many of the folks on here thought i would! yaaaaay! thanks everybody for the wonderful and very much needed encouragement!! you guys are the bomb!!! hehe

well i passed....but barely. i am at my wits end right now. my midterm average is a 76 which is a whole lot less than delightful. i don't know what in the world i am not doing. takin the test i felt good about my answer choices but when i saw my grade i could have cried:crying2:. i have 2 tests left and the hesi so 3total and i feel so much pressure! i feel like the walls are closing in on me! hellllpp!! at this point i just really discouraged.

:tku: for your words of encouragement mrspopeye! i ultimately aspire to be where you are. it helps communicating with ppl who know what i'm going through. i just took my second exam in this class this morning:yeah: and i went in more confident. i think i prepared myself the best i could for it. i will know what i did on it later on this evening. i prayed and i'm claiming the victory on this one! all of the feedback is soo helpful and i'm so happy that there is a place where i can constantly be in touch with nurses!!!

i am a junior right now in a bsn program. i have some very supportive instructors but some that just act like "oh if i did it then you need to stop whining because i had a harder time than you" or "you cant get this? are you stupid or something? my 10 year old can do this in her sleep":bugeyes:. like no empathy at all. cingly, i did meet with my instructor today and she was very helpful and encouraging. she was like "oh that 73 is not even hard to pull up, dont worry!" i was like really?.... she also said because everything now is pretty much scenarios to get an nclex books/questions and practice like 200 questions for every 50 questions(how long our tests usually are). i am an audio/visual learner so i gotta find other ways in addition to that. i don't feel so bummed out now because i can do it. family tries to be supportive but just don't understand why i study so much. she also said choose quality over quantity as far as studying. instead of like 20 hrs before the test, review the chapters after lecture. all my class mates are running around like chickens with their heads cut off going crazy:trout:! they said that this part of the program was the most strenuous and they were not:no: lyin.

okay, so i bombed my first med-surg exam....73. i am so devestated:crying2: because i "thought" i did pretty well and i just feel like a total failure. i have not failed an exam since i have been in nursing school and i am so scared right now! like my dreams are taking a downspin. i studied and now its like that wasn't good enough or i didn't do it right. somebody please help me. especially if you know where i'm coming from. the job i have is a distraction, i hate it and it stresses me. i don't want to think i will flunk out because of one test but how can i get it right?

So..I did the telephone conference yester day...anybody else? It was helpful but why are folks asking the SAME questions!!? over and over and over and over!!! Some questions are answered in BLACK and WHITE in the application bulletin. I know it was frustrating for ppl like me, who had questions that were not indicated in the packet. Everybody got their stuff in already??

All schools have their misrepresentations. I am a student here, its not very competitive to get in the program. Staying in....well that's another deal. I love this program and I have been else where. I won't go around bashing schools like others but it is a good program. The truth is, the students that barely make it out of gen eds dont make it through the clinical rotations. Good luck on choosing your program!

Hey who did you contact at the facility, and which one and how long you been an extern? There are a lot of Baptist hospitals and I'm not even sure who to contact. Are you a baptist student and when do you graduate? I graduate next year in December.

Thanks for the info. Are there any requirements for the nurse extern position at Methodist though? I really want to find a job in a hospital because I'm in clinicals and I'm there anyway.
